The BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year started her season off right scoring two goals on the road against No. 10 Northwestern on Friday and added another two the next day against Northeastern, leading No. 1 UConn to two victories. Veitner leads the league with four goals and eight points after the opening weekend of play.

Mitchell began her senior campaign by posting a career-high eight saves against No. 3 Maryland, keeping Temple in the game against the Terrapins, a 4-2 defeat. She added one more save to her weekend total in the Owls’ 9-0 rout of Towson on Sunday.

In her collegiate debut, Collins tallied a goal and an assist coming off the bench in the win over No. 10 Northwestern.
