Women’s basketball coverage continues on the BIG EAST Digital Network with seven games.

NEW YORK – Women’s basketball conference play reaches the halfway point and the BIG EAST Digital Network will be there to stream seven of the pivotal games this week. In addition to a pair of games on FS1 and FS2, BEDN will stream three games on Friday, including a key showdown between DePaul and Creighton, and four tilts on Sunday, which includes a third-place matchup between Xavier and St. John’s.

Sport: Women’s Basketball
Friday: Butler at St. John’s (7 p.m.); Xavier at Seton Hall (7 p.m.); Creighton at DePaul (8 p.m.)
Sunday: Xavier at St. John’s (2 p.m.); Butler at Seton Hall (2 p.m.); Providence at DePaul (3 p.m.); Creighton at Marquette (3 p.m.)
Why We’re Watching: Before the season started in November, the Jan. 22 meeting between DePaul and Creighton was circled on many calendars with the reigning champion Blue Demons hosting 2014 BIG EAST Player of the Year Marissa Janning and her reinforced group of young teammates. Fast forward to present day and DePaul is in good shape to repeat once again as champs, currently leading all BIG EAST teams with a 6-1 mark, but the Bluejays are a different team as Janning has been out since late November with an injury. Creighton took some lumps adjusting to life without No. 23, but they seem to have figured it out as winners of four straight by an average margin of nearly 21 points during that stretch.  The squads tip off at 8 p.m. (ET) on Friday night. St. John’s split season series with both Xavier and Butler in 2014-15, and the third-place Red Storm will host the Musketeers and Bulldogs this weekend. Butler has lost three straight and will look to right the ship in Queens on Friday night, while Xavier has won two of its last three to tie St. John’s for third place in the standings. XU will have to get past Seton Hall on Friday night first, which halted its three-game skid with a win at Georgetown yesterday afternoon. Against the Hoyas, the Pirates had their highest scoring game since Jan. 3, while Georgetown put up its most points since New Year’s Eve. Providence and Marquette make their return to BEDN on Sunday when the Friars travel to DePaul and the Golden Eagles host Creighton. MU has won two of its last three while PC is still in search of its first league win.

The BIG EAST Digital Network, which launched in September 2014, is a conference-specific, year-round HD digital channel distributed via FOX Sports' mobile application, FOX Sports GO. BEDN offers free, live streaming of 225 sporting events annually, in addition to the authenticated live streaming of BIG EAST events on FOX Sports networks. Women's basketball games are also a focal point of BEDN, airing every league contest not designated for a national television broadcast.

The BIG EAST Digital Network is its own branded channel within FOX Sports GO, the mobile app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. The BIG EAST is the first collegiate conference to be hosted on the network's mobile platform. FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.
