Lauren Sullivan garners top offensive honors, Meola is the week’s top goalkeeper.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Sullivan, Creighton, Sr., F/M
Sullivan was the BIG EAST’s points leader last week with six over two games. The senior scored a goal in each win for the Bluejays, beginning Thursday against Seton Hall in which she totaled a goal and two assists. Sullivan followed on Sunday in a notable win over St. John’s, scoring Creighton’s insurance goal in the 70th minute of the 2-0 victory. Sullivan leads all BIG EAST players with 27 points this season, while her 11 goals are also a league high. She has scored in eight consecutive matches to break a Creighton program record.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Lucy Edwards, DePaul, Jr., M
Edwards led DePaul to back-to-back shutouts last week, beginning with a 1-0 win at Butler on Thursday. The Blue Demon defense held the Bulldogs to just one shot as DePaul outshot Butler 14-1, including 8-0 on goal. In Sunday’s 3-0 win over Villanova, DePaul outshot the Wildcats 11-4, including 8-3 on goal. The DePaul defense allowed just three corner kicks last week. The Blue Demons have won seven straight to set a program record and remain all alone in first place with a 5-0-0 BIG EAST record.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
McKenzie Meola, Creighton, Fr., GK
Meola earned back-to-back shutout wins over Seton Hall and St. John’s last week, totaling eight saves on the week. The clean sheets were her first two of the season, highlighted by a seven-save performance against the Red Storm on Sunday in Omaha.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Maddy Henry, Marquette, Fr., GK
Henry earned back-to-back shutout victories in a pair of road games last week. At Xavier on Thursday, Henry denied two shots before extending Marquette’s shutout streak to nearly 310 minutes with three saves at Providence on Sunday. The Golden Eagles have won four straight, including three consecutive shutouts, to jump into second place in the league standings.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Marissa Aniolowski, Seton Hall, Fr., F/D
Aniolowski helped The Hall clinch their first BIG EAST win of the season with the game-winning goal in the 76th minute against Xavier on Sunday. The rookie totaled a game-high five shots as well.  
Liz Bartels, Marquette, Sr., M/F
Bartels had a hand in two of the Golden Eagles’ three goals last week, assisting on the game winner in Thursday’s 1-0 victory at Xavier before scoring the go-ahead goal at Providence in a 2-0 win.
Amanda Carolan, Georgetown, So., F
Carolan led the offensive charge in the Hoyas’ 5-0 win over Butler on Sunday, totaling five points off two goals and an assist. Georgetown extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games following a 1-0-1 week.
Franny Cerny, DePaul, So., F
Cerny scored a goal in each game last week, highlighted by the game winner in Thursday’s win at Butler. All 12 of Cerny’s points this season have come in conference play to rank third in the BIG EAST.
Morgan Proffitt, Marquette, Sr., D/M
Proffitt anchored a defensive unit which notched a pair of shutouts last week as the Golden Eagles outshot their opponents 24-13, allowing just five shots on goal.
