Temple 1, VILLANOVA 0
Temple scored the day’s only goal in the 22nd minute Tuesday on its home turf and went on to post a 1-0 decision over the Villanova Wildcats in a Philly Soccer Six clash. The loss snaps a four-game unbeaten string for the Wildcats, who played without starting backs Christopher Bared and Nikkye DePoint, both of whom were sidelined due to injury. This was VU’s sixth game in the span of 18 days, a grueling stretch that has taxed a young squad still adjusting to life in the BIG EAST and Philly Soccer Six. The Temple goal came courtesy of its leading scorer Jorge Gomez Sanchez.

No. 14 Loyola-Chicago 2, DEPAUL 0
Finding the back of the net can be a challenge in this game---especially if your opponent excels defensively. DePaul found out why Loyola Chicago is ranked No. 14 in the country Tuesday during a 2-0 loss at Wish Field that wraps up the nonconference season. Loyola (9-1-0) has only given up six goals in 10 matches this season, and the Ramblers clamped down on the Blue Demon attack. Their steady possession game also limited the home team’s chances. Loyola-Chicago scored a goal in the 42nd minute and the 59th minute by Connor Stevenson and Alec Lasinski.
