BIG EAST Player of the Week
Anna Logan, Butler, So. OH (Indianapolis, Ind.)
Sophomore outside hitter Anna Logan led Butler to a pair of road victories over Georgetown (3-2) and Villanova (3-0) with back-to-back double-double performances. At Georgetown on Saturday, Logan notched 21 kills, 15 digs, five blocks and three service aces to help Butler hold off the Hoyas 3-2. She followed that effort with 13 kills, 11 digs, three blocks and two service aces in the straight-set  win at Villanova on Sunday. For the week, Logan averaged 4.25 kills per set to reach a grand total of 34. She hit .275 over the two match span, posting a team-high 43 points. The Bulldogs, host of the upcoming 2016 BIG EAST Volleyball Championship presented by Jeep, are still alive in the potential  playoff picture.
 
BIG EAST Freshman  of the Week
Gaia Traballi, St. John’s, Fr., OH (Milan, Italy)
St. John’s rookie Gaia Traballi averaged 6.22 points per set, 5.78 kills per set and 2.33 digs per set in a 2-0 road weekend for the Red Storm. Traballi tallied a double-double against Marquette with 32 kills and 15 digs resulting in 33.5 points for the Red Storm in a five-set win. Traballi’s 32 kills against the Golden Eagles is the most by any BIG EAST player this season. At DePaul, Traballi had 20 kills. For the week, she averaged a .286 attack percentage.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Taryn Kloth, Creighton, So., OH (Sioux Falls, South Dakota)
Kloth averaged 4.67 points, 3.83 kills, 1.00 digs, 0.67 blocks and 0.50 aces per set as she hit .444 in a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Providence. Kloth had three aces without a service error in 24 attempts behind the service line last week.
 
Jenna Rosenthal, Marquette, RS-So., MH (Fond du Lac, Wis.)
Rosenthal averaged 4.56 points, 3.33 kills and 1.56 blocks per set while hitting .481 as the Golden Eagles went 1-1 over the weekend with a win over Seton Hall and a loss against St. John’s. Rosenthal had a double-double  in the 3-2 loss to St. John’s with 14 kills and 10 blocks.
 
Erica Di Maulo, St. John’s, Fr., Setter (Milan, Italy)
In a 2-0 week for St. John’s, Di Maulo averaged 11.86 assists with 2.33 digs per set while adding 1.06 points per set as the Red Storm defeated DePaul and Marquette on the road.
 
Dominque Mason, Seton Hall, Jr., OH (Chicago, Ill.)
Seton Hall inched closer to a possible BIG EAST Tournament berth last weekend with a split of a pair of conference road matches.  Helping the Pirates was Mason, who averaged 4.81 points, 2.00 digs and 4.62 kills per set with a .352 attack percentage.
 
Brooke Betts, Xavier, Sr., RS/MB (Pickerington, Ohio)
In a 2-0 weekend for the Musketeers, Betts averaged 3.86 points with 2.29 kills and 1.71 blocks per set with a .448 attack percentage. Xavier dropped just one set last weekend and has now won nine of its last 11 matches. Betts also added five aces.
