he Blue Demons (5-1) went on to bury a school-record 19 from behind the arc in a resounding 108-84 victory over No. 11/18 Syracuse (4-3). Jessica January tied a career high with 13 assists to go along with 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Brooke Schulte had a career-high 21 points while Jacqui Grant scored 19 points and Ashton Millender added 14.Knocking down seven from long range in the first quarter, DePaul registered a quick 29-11 lead after the first 10 minutes.  The Blue Demons extended their lead 54-37 by the half with help from a trio of 3-pointers from Schulte. Millender and January opened the second half with three-pointers. The closest Syracuse would come in the second half was 13 points. The Orange came within 84-70 in the fourth quarter when DePaul answered with a 5-0 run. Grant scored 15 points in the final quarter, including a trio of threes.

Providence 75, Miami Ohio 59
Providence extended to a six game-winning streak with the Friars defeating Miami (OH), 75-59, in the final day of play at the UNCW Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Classic in Wilmington, N.C. Yoyo Nogic led four Friars in double figures with a game-high 15 points. Allegra Botteghi finished the afternoon with her first double-double of the season on 14 points and 12 rebounds. She was 6-7 from the field and also recorded one assist and one steal. Sarah Beal had another impressive line for Providence, as she recorded 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals while sophomore Maddie Jolin, held scoreless in the second half, completed the day with 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Providence led by just three points (17-14) after the first quarter, but the Friars' lead would increase to as many as 13 (40-27) with 39-seconds remaining in the half. The Friars started the third quarter on a 12-0 run to mount a 52-29 lead with 5:50 remaining on the clock. Providence took its largest lead of the game (61-35) with 1:33 left on the clock, and out-scored the RedHawks, 21-11, overall in the quarter. Providence maintained control the remainder of the game, despite being out-scored 19-14 in the fourth quarter. The Friars' 6-0 start is the best since the 2006-07 campaign.

Xavier 62, Arkansas-Pine Buff 41
Xavier held its third straight opponent under 50 points on Sunday afternoon as the Musketeers moved to 4-0 on the year with a 62-41 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-4). Xavier also limited UAPB to a .271 field-goal percentage, a season-best for the Musketeers' defense. Xavier hit 53.3 percent of its shot attempts (8-for-15) to build a 16-9 lead at the end of the first stanza. The Musketeers scored six straight to open the second quarter, eventually extending their lead to a 46-20 at the end of the half. In the third quarter, UAPB fought back with a 10-6 run to make the score 50-30, but it would not be enough as Xavier outscored UAPB, 12-11, in the final quarter. Raeshaun Gaffney led all scorers with 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting, her 37th career game in double figures. The senior guard added five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes of play. Maddison Blackwell also posted double figures with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting. The senior forward scored 13 points in the second half. She added six rebounds in the win.

UT-Arlington 86, Seton Hall 61
The Pirates (4-2) dropped the championship game of the 2016 SHU Thanksgiving Classic to UT-Arlington (5-0) by a score of 86-61 on Sunday afternoon at Walsh Gymnasium. The setback snapped a 28-game streak of home non-conference victories for The Hall, which stood as the third-longest in the nation. Kaela Hilaire led the Pirates with 15 points of 5-of-11 shooting in the setback, also notching a team-high five assists and three steals. JaQuan Jackson added 14 points in her first game action since Nov. 15, while Deja Winters was the third Pirate in double-figures with 11 points off the bench. The Pirates took an early lead but fell behind after a quarter, before the Lady Mavericks used a big run in the second quarter to balloon their lead to double digits at halftime. The Hall battled to within 10 early in the third period but ultimately would get no closer the rest of the way.
