A 7-0 Saturday for BIG EAST teams included wins by one point all the way up to 48 points.

The 48-point victory was DePaul’s 109-61 win over Chicago State.  After trailing 2-0, the Blue Demons scored 22 straight points en route to a 60-22 halftime lead.  Eli Cain scored 31 points.

Providence also had little trouble, defeating Wagner 76-54.  The Friars used an early 25-0 run to take the suspense out of the contest.  Jalen Lindsey had 16 points and eight rebounds.

Seton Hall was led by Angel Delgado’s fifth straight double-double in an 81-68 defeat of Delaware.  Delgado finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds.  Madison Jones added a career-high 15 points.

Georgetown came up big in its first true road game, a 78-71 win over Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.  L.J. Peak had 23 points and 11 rebounds.  Rodney Pryor added 20 points and six boards.  Jessie Govan contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.

No. 18/18 Butler took down No. 9/9 Indiana 83-78 in the annual Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.  Kelan Martin pumped in 28 points, including 5-of-9 shooting from 3-point range.  Andrew Chrabascz and Kamar Baldwin each added 14 points.

No. 17/17 Xavier used a significant edge in field goal shooting to help hold off Wake Forest 69-65.  The Musketeers, who were led by Trevon Bluiett’s 20 points and seven rebounds, outshot the Demon Deacons from the floor 51.0 percent to 36.2 percent.

No. 10/10 Creighton claimed the one-point victory, a 66-65 decision over Oral Roberts.  The Bluejays did not allow a point in the final 6:08, while overcoming a five-point deficit.  Marcus Foster scored 22 points and Maurice Watson Jr. posted his fourth double-double with 13 points and 10 assists.

St. John’s will be up early on Sunday, playing Penn State in the MSG Holiday Festival at 11 a.m. ET on FS1.
Entering Sunday, the league’s non-conference record is 84-24 (.778).  The BIG EAST is 9-5 against AP ranked teams.
