BIG EAST Player of the Week
Brooke Schulte, DePaul, Sr., G
Schulte scored a career-high 27 points off 12-of-16 shooting in Tuesday’s win over Tennessee-Martin. The senior guard added seven rebounds in 26 minutes of play and drained 3-of-4 attempts from the charity stripe. The 27 points are the most by any BIG EAST player this season. This is Schulte’s first career BIG EAST Player of the Week certificate and the third by a Blue Demon this season. DePaul won 100-68 for its third triple-digit showing of the season as the Blue Demons rank ninth nationally in points per game.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Alisha Kebbe, St. John’s, Fr., G
Kebbe repeats as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week following a 12-point, four-assist, three-rebound showing in Wednesday’s win over James Madison. The rookie led the Red Storm to their sixth consecutive win by helping to erase a seven-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Dukes 74-63. Kebbe was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final frame to help spark the comeback.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Sarah Beal, Providence, Sr., G
Beal totaled 19 points off 5-of-10 shooting, along with a 9-of-11 clip from the free-throw line, in Wednesday’s 62-58 win at Monmouth. Beal sank a pair of free-throws in the final seven seconds to keep the Hawks at bay.
Audrey Faber, Creighton, So., F
Faber totaled 20 points off 7-of-12 shooting, along with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in the Bluejays’ 72-50 win at Marist on Wednesday.
Adrianna Hahn, Villanova, So., G
In the Wildcats’ setback at No. 17/18 Duke on Wednesday, Hahn matched the game high 18 points, with all 18 coming from behind the arc with a 6-of-13 three-point clip. She added three rebounds in the outing.
Imani Littleton, St. John’s, Jr., F
Littleton had the first double-double by a St. John’s player this season with 14 points, 13 rebounds in Wednesday’s win over James Madison. She sank 5-of-7 attempts from the field and was 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
McKayla Yentz, Marquette, Sr., G
Yentz led the Golden Eagles to a 62-52 win over New Mexico on Wednesday by scoring 16 points and grabbing four rebounds in 26 minutes of action.
