Wednesday’s schedule is busy with four games, including No. 1 Villanova taking the short trip to play local rival Temple.  The Wildcats will be aiming for their 14th straight win in Philadelphia Big Five competition.  VU is 22-3 overall and 8-1 on away courts this season.  ESPN2 will televise at 7 p.m. ET.

No. 23/20 Providence travels to No. 8/7 Xavier on FS1, also at 7 p.m.  Xavier took the first meeting 75-68 on Jan. 26.  Providence, 19-7 overall and 7-6 in the BIG EAST, will be trying to notch its third straight 20-win season.  The Musketeers, 12-1 at the Cintas Center this year, are 4-1 against ranked opponents, which includes the win at then-No. 10 Providence.

St. John’s hosts DePaul at Carnesecca Arena at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.  The home team has won the last five meetings in the series.  Tonight’s contest will be the 36th meeting overall with St. John’s holding a 19-16 edge.

At 9 p.m. on FS1, Seton Hall plays at Georgetown.  The Pirates, 7-5 in league play, have been sparked by Isaiah Whitehead who has averaged 20.8 points and 6.2 assists over the last five games.  Georgetown is 7-6 in the league and hoping to turn the tables on the Hall after dropping a 69-61 decision at the Prudential Center on Feb. 6.
