NEW YORK – The Empire State Building, an icon of New York City, will shine its world-famous tour lights red and blue in honor of the BIG EAST Basketball Tournament final on Saturday night.
 
The BIG EAST Conference has been an Empire State Building Lighting Partner four of the last five years.
 
BIG EAST fans are encouraged to tweet photos of the BIG EAST lighting to the BIG EAST using the handles @EmpireStateBldg and @BIGEAST with the hashtag #MadeAtMSG. Other social media handles include Instagram @EmpireStateBldg and @BIGEASTconf; or Facebook.com/Empirestatebuilding.
 
At 5:30 p.m. the BIG EAST Championship final will tip off on FOX as No. 1 Villanova and No. 3 Seton Hall will face each other in the tournament for the fifth time having split their previous two contests. The Pirates won their 2014 quarterfinal meeting 64-63. It will be the first time the two teams meet in the title game. Villanova is the defending BIG EAST Tournament champion.
