Hejhal, Saperstein Grab Weekly Tennis Honors
NEW YORK – St. John’s Lucas Hejhal was named the BIG EAST Men’s Tennis Player of the Week and Georgetown’s Victoire Saperstein was tabbed as the BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

In the Red Storm’s lone match of the week against Yale, Hejhal went 1-0 at No. 3 singles, defeating Alex Hagermoser 6-2, 6-4. Pairing with Vaidik Munshaw at No. 1 doubles, the duo topped Fedor Andrienko and Stefan Doehler 6-4, helping seal 4-3 win over the Bulldogs on the road. St. John’s sits at No. 61 in the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings.
BIG EAST Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Victoire Saperstein, Georgetown, Jr.
Saperstein guided the Georgetown women’s tennis team to a 7-0 victory over Seton Hall. The senior paired with Risa Nakagawa and played a perfect 6-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot and maintained her momentum with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the No. 1 singles.
