Marquette’s Allison Lane tabbed top middie after leading Golden Eagles to win over Villanova.

BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Katherine Finkelston, Connecticut, Sr., A
Finkelston earns her fourth weekly award of the season following a six-goal showing in the Huskies’ 17-6 win over Cincinnati on Saturday. The senior fired nine shots on the afternoon and added a ground ball as UConn improved to 8-2 on the year and 2-0 in BIG EAST play. Finkelston’s 3.8 goals per game leads the BIG EAST and ranks sixth among all Division I players.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Allison Lane, Marquette, So., M
Lane stuffed the stat sheet as Marquette earned a notable win at Villanova on Saturday, 15-6. The sophomore totaled three goals, two assists, eight draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover, as the Golden Eagles set a program standard for single-game goals. Lane totaled two goals and two assists in the decisive first half before adding another score midway through the second. This is her second BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week honor of the season.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Callahan Kent, Vanderbilt, Jr., GK
Kent limited the opposition to single-digit goals for the fifth time this season and made double-digit saves for the seventh time in the Commodores’ narrow 7-5 setback to Georgetown on Saturday. The junior keeper denied 14 shots for a .667 save percentage, playing all 60 minutes in the cage.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week 
Lindsey Ronbeck, Florida, Fr., A
Ronbeck earns top rookie honors for the second time this season after leading the Gators to a nail-biting win over -/RV Temple on Saturday. The freshman scored on all three of her shot attempts, with none bigger than the game winner with 4:16 left. Ronbeck broke two ties in the game, 6-6 with time winding down in the first half, and 9-9 in the closing moments of the contest which the Gators won, 10-9. Ronbeck also added a pair of ground balls for No. 2 Florida.  
 
Weekly Honor Roll
Taylor Gebhardt, Georgetown, Fr., A
Gebhardt notched a hat trick and added a ground ball as the Hoyas topped Vanderbilt 7-5 on Saturday. Gehbardt provided the go-ahead goal with 13:02 remaining as Georgetown thwarted the Commodores’ rally.
Brenda McDermott, Temple, Sr., A
McDermott helped Temple put No. 2 Florida on upset alert with two goals, two draw controls and an assist, as the Owls were narrowly edged by the defending BIG EAST champs 10-9 on Saturday in Gainesville. The senior gave Temple its first lead of the game, 5-4, with 10 minutes left in the first half, and then provided the game-tying score with 13:32 remaining.
Fran Meyer, Marquette, Jr., D
Meyer marked BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Jackie Froccaro, keeping the dangerous attacker off the score sheet in the second half as MU earned a 15-6 win. Meyer added two caused turnovers, two draw controls and a ground ball in the win.
