FOX Sports Celebrates Villanova's Championship Run With SUPER NOVA
Saturday on FS1, FOX Sports, the television home to the BIG EAST will relive the magic of the Wildcats' NCAA title.
NEW YORK -- With Kris Jenkins’s unforgettable game-winning buzzer-beater still fresh in the minds of college basketball fans around the country, FOX Sports, the television home to the BIG EAST Conference, celebrates Villanova’s run to the NCAA title with a can’t-miss special, SUPER NOVA: VILLANOVA’S CHAMPIONSHIP RUN, on Saturday, April 9, at on FS1. The 30-minute program premieres prior to Saturday’s N.L. West matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants with more chances to watch throughout next week.
Hosted by Emmy-nominated broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt, SUPER NOVA gives fans the chance to relive the emotional victory through the eyes of social media, while an exclusive all-access feature takes fans inside head coach Jay Wright’s program. SUPER NOVA also includes a profile on Final Four Most Outstanding Player Ryan Arcidiacono, the team’s senior leader whose Villanova roots run deep, as well as a feature on the 1985 Wildcats, which won the school’s first NCAA title and laid the roots for a successful program. Jenkins, the hero of Monday’s championship game, joins via satellite for a Q&A, plus the show features footage from Friday’s victory parade and other video from the team’s celebration.
