Tickets On Sale Now For 2016 BIG EAST Baseball Championship

  NEW YORK –  Tickets are on sale now for the 2016 BIG EAST Baseball Championship Presented by Jeep. This year’s championship will be held at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md., Memorial Day weekend, May 26-29. Tickets can be purchased here via the Aberdeen Ironbirds website.
 
The top four teams in the final league standings will make the tournament. Last year, St. John’s defended its No. 1 seed and won the championship as well, defeating host-school Creighton and Georgetown. The winner of the BIG EAST Championship will receive the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
 
All-session packages can be purchased at $48 at all field levels. For seniors, youth and students, all-session tickets can be purchased for $30. There is also a military discount where all-session packages can be purchased for $30 and a youth team group rate for $20.
 
Thursday and Friday single-session tickets can be purchased for $17 each. For senior/youth/student, this price is $10 and for military $9. Saturday and Sunday single-session tickets can be purchased at $9 for an adult, $6 senior/youth/student and $5 military.
 
A senior price is applied for those 65 years and older. Youth price applies for those 17 years old and younger. Student prices are for those with a valid college ID. Military pricing includes active duty, retired, military dependent, Government Civilian (GS), Government Access Card (CAC) and RAPIDGate card. The youth team group rate includes players and all affiliated coaches and parents (players must be age 17 and under), a group is considered 10 or more. Youth teams who purchase the group rate will get a videoboard welcome, photo with the championship trophy and more.
 
Home of the Orioles Short Season, Single A affiliate Aberdeen IronBirds, Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium opened to rave reviews in 2002. With a capacity of 6,000 the design (along with continuing renovations and upgrades) was designed to complement the unique sales philosophies of Ripken Baseball and the Aberdeen IronBirds. Features and amenities include five luxury boxes, approximately 326 Club Level seating and Extra Innings Café with shared indoor facilities, event space with a capacity for 500, 200-person two-tier Crab and Picnic pavilion, three-team left field party deck, home plate open-air café and detached clubhouses.
