Rachel Schwaab, Temple, Sr., A
Schwaab totaled four points off two goals and two assists in what proved to be a crucial win for the Owls to continue their season. The four points matched the league single-game high from last week, while the point total was Schwaab’s highest in BIG EAST action this season and most since a six-point showing versus Rutgers on March 9. Temple topped Georgetown 11-4 to earn their first BIG EAST Championship berth, entering the tournament as the No. 3 seed.
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Hayley Baas, Marquette, Sr., M
Baas tied or set Marquette single-game records with six ground balls and five caused turnovers in an 8-7 win over her hometown team of Cincinnati on Friday. Baas was essential in the win, proving valuable defensively while also scoring her 21st goal of the season.
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Jaqi Kakalecik, Temple, Sr., GK
Against Georgetown on Saturday, Kakalecik was a force in the cage once again, stopping 10 shots and allowing just four goals for a .714 save percentage in what was her 12
th win of the season. The senior enters the postseason boasting the top goals against average in the BIG EAST at 6.50, while her .500 save percentage lists second.
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Sam Mlkvy, Cincinnati, Fr., M
Mlkvy notched her first collegiate hat trick in the Bearcats’ narrow season finale loss at Marquette on Friday, scoring three goals off four shots. No goal was bigger for the rookie than the one with 2:15 remaining to get Cincinnati within one, 8-7, giving the Bearcats the chance at the upset. Mlkvy also added a draw control to close out her freshman season.

Taylor Gebhardt, Georgetown, Fr., A
Gebhardt was the shining light in the Hoyas season-finale setback at Temple, matching last week’s single-game high for points with four off two goals and two assists. She added a ground ball as well.
Elizabeth Goslee, Marquette, Sr., D
Goslee tallied a ground ball and a caused turnover, while making perhaps the most impactful play at the end of the game in an8-7 win over Cincinnati on Friday. With under 20 seconds remaining, the Bearcats made one final attempt to tie the game, but Goslee stayed in front of the UC attacker and blocked the potential game-tying score mere feet in front of the cage.

In a pivotal win for the Owls, Tiernan stuffed the stat sheet with a goal, three assists, a ground ball and caused turnover. The trio of dishes matched her season high which she recorded twice previously during non-league action.
