BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Freshman of the Year Lindsey Ronbeck earns national honor by Inside Lacrosse.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida freshman attacker Lindsey Ronbeck is still making an impression following her first season as a Gator. The Manhasset, N.Y., native was tabbed the IL Women DI National Rookie of the Year Monday morning to cap off an impressive freshman campaign.

Ronbeck, also the 2016 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and an IWLCA All-South Region Second Team pick, started all 20 games her inaugural year on campus as the Gators (18-2) won the BIG EAST regular season and tournament titles before picking up the No. 2 National Seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Ronbeck ranked second for the Orange and Blue with 16 assists and checked in third in both goals (36) and points (52). Her four game-winning goals in 2016 rank second-most in a season in program history.
