BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Rachel Corboz, Georgetown, Jr., M
Corboz started off 2016 in impressive fashion by totaling seven points on three goals and an assist in Georgetown’s 6-0 win over Towson on Friday. Corboz’s point total is the most by any BIG EAST player since 2014, when older sister Daphne Corboz went for a hat trick and assist against Seton Hall in the regular-season finale. The younger Corboz pelted the Tigers with a game-high six shots, three-times as many as Towson totaled as a team.

Alexis Urbanski, St. John’s, Grad., D
Urbanski anchored a back line which allowed just three shots on goal in a 2-0 weekend for the Red Storm, while also sparking a bit of offense with a goal and assist. The graduate student helped St. John’s to a 37-11 advantage in shots, including 14-3 on goal, in the first two games, both of which were shutout victories. Urbanski scored the overtime game winner against CCSU on Friday night in the 97
th minute before assisting on Sunday’s game winner against Albany in the 24
th minute.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Rachel Piccus, Xavier, Sr., GK
Piccus started off the 2016 season in flawless fashion, going 2-0 with a pair of shutout victories over Evansville and Eastern Kentucky. The senior made three saves in each contest to preserve the clean sheets, playing all 180 minutes over the weekend.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Ida DiClemente, Villanova, Fr., F
DiClemente was spectacular in her collegiate debut, notching all three goals in the Wildcats’ 3-2 win over visiting Delaware on Friday night. The rookie totaled five shots, with all five being on target, beating the keeper twice in the first half before recording the game winner in the 57
th minute. She added a pair of shots in Villanova’s setback to Drexel on Sunday to total seven shots, three goals and six points in the opening weekend of play.

Katie Day, Providence, So., D
Playing on the road at No. 10 Rutgers on Sunday, Day provided the Friars with the game-tying score via penalty kick in the 82
nd minute. The sophomore helped keep the Scarlet Knights off the board through the entire second half and both overtime periods as Providence earned a draw against nationally ranked RU.
Callie Hawkins, Creighton, Fr., M
In her collegiate debut, Hawkins tacked Iowa for two goals off three shots as the Bluejays beat the Hawkeyes, 5-3. The rookie scored Creighton’s second and third goals, with the second-half tally breaking a 2-2 tie in the 57
th minute.
Hannah Luedtke, Butler, So., GK
In a pair of overtime tilts, Luedtke earned a 1-0-1 opening weekend mark, playing over 219 minutes in the net and surrendering just one goal for a 0.41 goals against average. The sophomore made six saves, including four in Sunday’s draw at Eastern Michigan, totaling an .857 save percentage. Luedtke was credited with the win over Ohio in Friday’s opener.
Diana Poulin, St. John’s, Sr., GK
Poulin went 2-0 in shutout fashion in the opening weekend of play, making two stops in Friday’s win over Central Connecticut and denying the lone shot faced against Albany on Sunday.
Maddie Tierney, Xavier, Jr., M
Tierney helped XU go 2-0 over the weekend by totaling three points off a goal and assist. The junior scored the insurance goal against Evansville on Friday night before supplying the helper on Sunday’s game winner at EKU.
