In her 53rd career game, senior defender Cathy Chukuka scored her first career goal to power the Seton Hall women's soccer team (4-3-0) to a 1-0 victory at Cornell (2-4-0) on Thursday night. Chukuka's goal came in the 26th minute and backed a six-save shutout from Anna MacLean. The victory for the Pirates marked their second-straight overall and third-consecutive victory on the road. It was also the second shutout this season for The Hall, coming despite facing 19 shots from an aggressive Big Red attack.

Georgetown 1, George Washington 0
Amanda Carolan scored her second goal in as many games and the No. 18-ranked Georgetown University women's soccer team held on to beat George Washington on Thursday afternoon at GW's Mount Vernon campus. It was the sixth-straight win for the Hoyas, who improve to 7-1-0 overall, while the Colonials fall to 6-2-0 overall. The Blue & Gray outshot GW, 12-1, and had a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore goalkeeper Arielle Schechtman made one save as she picked up her seventh win of the season.

Providence 3, CCSU 1
The Friars took the lead in the 17th minute when graduate student Kathryn Hiller notched her fourth goal on the season. Hiller was assisted on the play by senior forward Rachel Ugolik and marked Ugolik’s second assist of the season. The Blue Devils got on the board in the 19th minute when freshman Anya Bornstein notched the equalizer. The goal marked Bornstein’s first collegiate tally. Providence answered in the 31st minute when senior Jill Clapp notched her second goal of the season, assisted by sophomore Casey Estey. Estey continued the Friars attack in the 43rd minute notching her second goal of the season to put the Friars up 3-1 at the half. Kristyn Shea recorded one save on the game.

Down 2-0 to close out the first half, Kristin Barbour scored a pair of second-half goals to knot the game, including the game-tying score in the 89
th minute. Barbour’s heroics continued in overtime, scoring the golden goal in the 102
nd minute to clinch the Wildcats’ first win since their season opener on Aug. 19. Emily Harris made four saves in the net for Nova.
