Rachel Ugolik, Providence, Sr., F
Ugolik tied for the league’s points lead last week with six off two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Friars. The week was highlighted by a two-goal, one-assist showing against Massachusetts on Sunday as the Friars shutout the Minutewomen 3-0 with Ugolik having a hand in all three goals. The senior was also credited with an assist in Thursday’s 3-1 win at CCSU, leading Providence to close out non-league play with a 4-3-1 mark.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Maria Collica, Butler, Jr., D
Collica anchored the Butler defense which earned back-to-back shutouts last week, beginning Tuesday with a 3-0 victory over IUPUI and capping Sunday with a 4-0 victory at Evansville. The Bulldogs limited their opponents to just three total shots on goal last week, winning the total shots advantage 35-20. The junior defender provided a bit of offense as well, notching a pair of assists in Sunday’s victory as Butler improved to 7-2-1.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week

Schechtman notched back-to-back shutout wins with none bigger than the 18th-ranked Hoyas’ 1-0 upset win at No. 2/1 West Virginia on Sunday. The sophomore keeper denied eight shots in nearly 102 minutes in the cage before Grace Damaska scored the golden goal for Georgetown. Schechtman improved to 8-1 on the year and lowered her goals against average to 0.90.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Taryn Jakubowski, Creighton, Fr., M
Jakubowski totaled three points off a goal and assist at Yale on Sunday afternoon. The rookie scored the game’s first goal just six minutes into the contest before dishing to Jaylin Bosak for the game-sealing score in the 61st minute as the Bluejays earned a 4-2 victory. Creighton’s contest at Rhode Island slated for Thursday was cancelled.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Kristin Barbour, Villanova, Fr., M/D
Down 2-0 to La Salle on Thursday, Barbour scored three straight goals, including the golden goal in the 102nd minute to seal the win for Villanova. The Wildcats went 1-1 on the week.
Ana Greik, DePaul, Sr., F
