DePaul 4, Creighton 2
Fully recovered from a nagging injury that had plagued her in the early season, DePaul’s Alexa Ben scored twice to highlight a four-score first half as the Blue Demons won their fourth in a row, topping visiting Creighton 4-2. All six goals were scored in the first half in rapid succession, notched entirely in a 30-minute span. Abby Reed totaled a goal and two assists for the Blue Demons to go along with Ben’s two scores, while Caeley Lordemann and Lauren Sullivan scored for the Bluejays. Erin Scott denied four shots for Creighton.

Providence 2, Xavier 1 (OT)
The Friars took the lead early as Kathryn Hiller scored her sixth goal of the year in the 13
th minute before Samantha Dewey notched the equalizer in the 60
th for her sixth of the year. The teams headed to overtime where Katie Day booted the golden goal for Providence in the 97
th minute, keeping the Friars unbeaten in BIG EAST play at 1-0-1 while dropping the Musketeers to 0-2-0. Rachel Piccus and Toni Bizzarro split time in net for XU while Kristyn Shea made three saves for the Friars.

Butler 0, RV/-St. John’s 0 (2OT)
Two of the BIG EAST’s top defenses were on display in Queens on Thursday night at St. John’s and Butler battled to a double-overtime scoreless draw. The Red Storm edged the Bulldogs in shots, 19-14, while Diana Poulin denied six shots for St. John’s and Hannah Luedtke made seven saves for Butler. BU’s Paige Monaghan had a game-high six strikes while Samie Scaffidi had five shots for St. John’s, including two on target.

Marquette 2, Seton Hall 1
Marquette jumped out to a 2-0 first-half lead against visiting Seton Hall on Thursday and held on to the advantage until the final horn, despite the Pirates threats. The Hall pulled within one in the 51
st minute off Katie Landes’ header, but Darian Powell and Carrie Madden’s first-half scores proved to be too much to overcome. The Golden Eagles won the battle in shots 14-3 but both teams struggled to find the target as MU’s Maddy Henry made the lone save of the match. The Golden Eagles improved to 1-1 in BIG EAST play while The Hall fell to 0-2.
