Creighton 70, Seton Hall 60
In a conference matchup that featured 10 lead changes and seven ties, Seton Hall (9-11, 2-7 BIG EAST) pushed the BIG EAST preseason co-favorite to the brink, falling against Creighton in overtime by a score of 70-60, at Walsh Gym. The Pirates led by five at the half but were down two with less than two minutes remaining before a pair of clutch baskets from JaQuan Jackson put The Hall back ahead. Creighton got a game-tying 3-pointer from Lauren Works with 11.8 seconds remaining to send the contest to overtime, where the experienced Bluejays out-scored The Hall 13-3 to stave off the upset. Jackson led the Pirates with 14 points, while Lubirdia Gordon added 12 and a team-high seven rebounds. For Creighton it was Sydney Lamberty with a game-high 16 and Marissa Janning adding 13 with seven assists and six boards.

Georgetown 58, Butler 52
Georgetown (12-7, 4-5 BIG EAST) fought off Butler (5-15, 2-7) with a 7-0 scoring run after the final media timeout, claiming a 58-52 victory on Sunday at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler led 12-10 after the first quarter, but the Hoyas would score the final four points of the opening frame and continue on with a 10-0 start to the second quarter. They took a 28-21 lead into halftime by doubling up BU in the second 18-9. Dorothy Adomako would hit one of the biggest shots of the game, pushing Georgetown's lead to five points with just 41 seconds left with a jumper. Dionna White led the way for the Hoyas with a career-high 29 points and eight rebounds. Tori Schickel and Sydney Buck highlighted the effort from Butler as the dynamic duo combined to score 40 of Butler's 52 points. Schickel made plays in the paint to post 22 points and 15 rebounds while Buck attacked from the perimeter with six made 3-point field goals to add 18 points off the bench.

St. John’s 60, Providence 50
Leading 50-48 with under three minutes to go in the fourth, St. John’s used a 10-0 run to take a 60-48 advantage with 17 seconds to play as the Johnnies pulled away from Providence, 60-50, at Carnesecca Arena. With the win, St. John’s head coach Joe Tartamella became the fifth coach in program history to win 100 games. St. John's opened with a 10-0 run, controlling the tempo of the first quarter. Battling back, Providence took its first lead (24-23) with 3:18 left in the second quarter as Clara Che drained a three-point bucket. However, the Red Storm responded with a 7-0 run to close the quarter and take a 29-23 lead at halftime. St. John's maintained its advantage in the third quarter, but a 9-2 run in the fourth quarter gave the Friars life and helped cut the deficit to 50-48 with 3:32 on the clock. St. John’s responded with a jumper from Akina Wellere. Jade Walker followed with a jumper of her own, giving the Red Storm a 54-48 advantage. Then, with the shot clock winding down, Aaliyah Lewis buried a three and a layup, giving the Red Storm a 60-48 edge.

Villanova 72, Xavier 47
The Wildcats (11-9, 6-3 BIG EAST) stretched their win streak to five games with an impressive 72-47 road win at Xavier (10-10, 2-7) on Sunday evening. Villanova raced to an early lead with back-to-back runs in the first quarter, but two foul shots by Xavier’s Marquia Turner sliced the Wildcat lead to 32-19 at the 2:12 mark of the second quarter. With the Musketeers showing signs of getting back in the game, Villanova closed the half on a 7-1 spurt to grab a 39-21 lead at halftime. Megan Quinn was dominant in the run scoring all seven Wildcat points. Quinn opened the third quarter by draining a three from straightaway to push the Villanova advantage to 42-21. Taking a commanding 53-31 lead after three quarters Villanova would lead by as many as 26 in the fourth. Mary Gedaka led the Wildcats in the win with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds, while Kelly Jekot had 13 points. The Musketeers were paced by Marquia Turner with 11 points, while Martha Thompson posted a career-high three blocks.
