21/19 DePaul 60, -/RV Creighton 56
The battle for first place saw nationally ranked DePaul deal Creighton its first home loss of the season, 60-56, as the Blue Demons used a huge third quarter to overcome a slow start and clinch the win. DePaul’s Brooke Schulte notched her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 boards, while Creighton was led by Audrey Faber’s 14 points. A game of runs saw the Blue Demons race out to a 7-0 lead and the Bluejays respond with a 17-2 stretch, limiting DePaul to nine first-quarter points and carrying a 29-21 lead into halftime. The third quarter proved pivotal, however, as the Blue Demons opened with an 11-2 charge to regain the lead. Creighton went back ahead midway in the fourth and the game was knotted with 94 seconds left before Lauren Prochaska drained a three to give DePaul a lead it would not relinquish. The Blue Demons committed just eight turnovers while scoring 16 points off 17 Creighton miscues.

Providence 66, RV/RV Marquette 64
A combined 52 points by YoYo Nogic and Sarah Beal, including Nogic’s game-winning bucket with five seconds left, sparked the Friars to the upset win over RV/RV Marquette on Friday night in Providence. The Golden Eagles were without starting guard Natisha Hiedeman, who was injured last Saturday at DePaul, as Allazia Blockton led four MU players in double figures with 17 points. Three of the game’s four ties came in the final quarter as PC rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit with Beal and Nogic scoring all 16 of the Friars’ points in the final 10 minutes. Nogic made a career-high seven three-pointers as Providence combined for a 9-of-15 clip from deep, with both teams impressive from the field on the night. Marquette shot just shy of 49 percent from the field to Providence’s 50-percent mark, while MU committed just 10 turnovers to PC’s nine miscues.

St. John's 62, Butler 55
A trio of starters scored in double figures for the Bulldogs but the other two were kept off the scoreboard completely as St. John’s defense held an opponent under 60 points for the 14
th time this season. The Red Storm were led by Jade Walker and Aaliyah Lewis who scored 16 apiece, with Lewis adding eight assists. Butler jumped out to lead by five in the first but St. John’s responded to lead by as many as 11 in the third quarter before the Bulldogs made it a game again in the final frame. Most of the final 10 minutes was divided by no more than two possessions, with the teams combining for 35 trips to the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. Each team scored just six points off field goals in the fourth, with St. John’s going 15-of-19 from the stripe to keep Butler at bay, which went 14-of-16.

Seton Hall 71, Xavier 62
Kaela Hilaire paced the Pirates with 16 points and five assists as The Hall led for all but 4:33 in the nine-point win. The Pirates took a four-point lead after a quarter and led by six at the half, but Xavier battled back and took a one-point lead early in the third quarter. The Hall answered, pushing their lead back to four after three quarters before a 17-12 edge in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. All five starters scored in double figures for Xavier, including 14 apiece from Maddison Blackwell and Kindell Fincher.
