Alexa Ben keeps DePaul in contention with a hat trick Sunday against Villanova.

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Alexa Ben, DePaul, Sr., M
Ben notched her first hat trick of the season in Sunday’s high-scoring 6-3 victory over Villanova. The senior scored in the 49th, 70th and 80th minutes to lead DePaul to the win and keep its postseason hopes alive. In the 1-0-1 week, Ben finished with six points, including a game-winning goal, and eight shots.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Wenger, Georgetown, Sr., D
Wenger led the Georgetown defense to a pair of shutouts last week, including Sunday’s scoreless draw at No. 22 Butler. The Hoyas outshot Marquette and the Bulldogs by a combined 17-7 margin while holding a 15-4 lead in corner kicks. Georgetown limited the Golden Eagles to just three shots, picking up a crucial three points in the BIG EAST standings to remain the frontrunner.
 
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Arielle Schechtman, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Schechtman moved up to 10th on the NCAA’s active career leaders list with 28 career shutouts following a pair of clean sheets last week. The senior tallied seven saves in a 3-0 win over Marquette and double-overtime scoreless draw at No. 22 Butler. Schechtman’s 13 shutouts this season lead the BIG EAST.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Leonie Doege, Butler, Fr., GK
Doege continued to be the BIG EAST’s stingiest goalkeeper last week, dropping her goals against average to 0.11 on the year following 110 minutes of scoreless soccer. The freshman made a pair of saves in 45 minutes of action at Creighton on Thursday before stopping five shots against RV Georgetown in 65 minutes in the cage on Sunday. No. 22 Butler stretched its unbeaten streak to 15 games while remaining in second place in the BIG EAST standings.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Tori Doss, Xavier, R-Sr., F
Doss scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute against Seton Hall on Thursday, leading the Musketeers to the 2-1 win and clinching their first BIG EAST Championship berth in program history.
Jordan Kamp, St. John’s, Fr., GK
Kamp earned a pair of victories last week, totaling 11 saves in over 197 minutes of action, including six stops in the Red Storm’s 1-0 double-overtime victory against Xavier on Sunday.
Carrie Madden, Marquette, R-Jr., M/F
Madden scored a pair of goals, including the game winner, in the Golden Eagles’ pivotal 3-0 win over Creighton on Sunday. The redshirt-junior bumped her season tally to a Marquette-best six scores.
McKenzie Meola, Creighton, So., GK
Meola set a career high with 15 saves at Marquette on Sunday. For the week, the sophomore totaled 23 saves in setbacks to the Golden Eagles and No. 22 Butler.
Paige Monaghan, Butler, Jr., F
Monaghan netted a pair of goals in Thursday’s 3-0 win at Creighton, while tallying eight shots in a 1-0-1 week for the nationally ranked Bulldogs.
