The Friars erase a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit to win at Northeastern behind Nogic’s 31 points.

Providence 98, Northeastern 95 (OT)
Providence erased a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter and rallied to defeat Northeastern in overtime, 98-95, on the road. Outscoring the Huskies 35-20 in the fourth quarter, the Friars shot a blistering 86.7-percent during the final stanza (13-15) and finished the game 37-61 from the field overall (60.7-percent). Jovana Nogic led all scorers with a career-high 31 points, and Maddie Jolin posted 18 of her career-high 23 points in the fourth. Ny-Asia Franklin notched her first career double-double with the Friars on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Five of her 12 boards came off of the offensive glass, while Clara Che tallied 15 points and added a game-high five assists.

Georgetown 93, Howard 41
Georgetown Head Coach James Howard made his Hilltop debut with a 93-41 victory over Howard at McDonough Arena. After a dominant first half, the Blue & Gray cruised to victory for the first win of the 2017-18 season. Dionna White led all scorers with 27 points and five steals, while Cynthia Petke scored 14 points and pulled in 14 rebounds. Yazmine Belk chipped in nine points and ten rebounds in the contest. Freshman Tatiana Thompson scored 14 points with six boards in her debut.

Xavier 66, Mount St. Mary’s (Md.) 45
Freshman Aaliyah Dunham scored a game-high 16 points, leading Xavier to a 66-45 win over Mount St. Mary's at Cintas Center. The Musketeers never trailed in the game and opened the contest by outscoring the Mountaineers, 16-2, in the first quarter, limiting Mount St. Mary’s to only one field goal (1-for-15). In the victory, Imani Partlow added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Jada Byrd and Ashley Gomez both added seven points. Gomez also chipped in a team-high three steals.

South Dakota 73, Creighton 68
Trailing by as many as 14 points early in the final period, Creighton used a 13-2 run to rally back and make it a one-possession game before falling to South Dakota, 73-68. Audrey Faber and Temi Carda led the way with 15 points apiece, as Carda pulled down a team-high seven rebounds on the night.
