Marquette junior has impressive double-double at No. 2 Notre Dame while Xavier rookie leads Musketeers against No. 16 Missouri.

BIG EAST Player of the Week
Erika Davenport, Marquette, Jr., F
Davenport helped RV/NR Marquette push No. 2/2 Notre Dame to the brink in overtime on Wednesday as the junior went for 19 points and a career-best 16 rebounds in South Bend. Davenport’s 16 boards are the most the Fighting Irish have allowed a single player to snag since Nov. 17, 2016. Davenport shot 7-of-11 from the field while seven of her rebounds came off the offensive glass. Eight of the junior’s boards came in the fourth quarter as Marquette erased an eight-point deficit to force Notre Dame into its first overtime contest of the season.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Deja Ross, Xavier, Fr., F
In a 1-1 week for the Musketeers, Ross averaged 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds, highlighted by a team-high 13 points and six rebounds against No. 16/16 Missouri on Monday. On the week, the rookie shot .412 while draining five three-pointers. Ross becomes Xavier’s first BIG EAST Freshman of the Week since the Musketeers joined the league prior to the 2013-14 season.

Amarah Coleman, DePaul, Sr., G
Coleman stuffed the stat sheet in RV/RV DePaul’s win over IUPUI with 20 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Audrey Faber, Creighton, Jr., F
Faber was impressive beyond the arc against No. 13/13 Florida State on Thursday as the Bluejays matched their program record with 17 treys. Faber sank seven of those en route to a game-high 30 points to go along with eight rebounds.
JaQuan Jackson, Seton Hall, R-Sr., G
Jackson shot lights out against Fairfield on Thursday, draining 11-of-13 attempts from the field towards a game-high 28 points as the Pirates cruised by the Stags.
Kelly Jekot, Villanova, So., G
Jekot helped No. 20/18 Villanova improve to 10-0 on the year with a 20-point outing at La Salle on Wednesday. The sophomore shot 9-of-14 and added four rebounds in 29 minutes of action.
Maya Singleton, St. John’s, Sr., F
In a 1-1 week for the Red Storm, Singleton averaged 14.5 points and 14.5 rebounds, highlighted by a program-record tying 24 rebounds against Kansas on Monday night.
