BIG EAST Player of the Week
Jake Kuzbel, Georgetown, Sr., 1B (Ashburn, Va.)
Jake Kuzbel led the Georgetown offense to a 4-1 week, with eight RBI for the week on a .550 batting average. Kuzbel went 11-for-20 with two doubles, a triple and seven runs scored. The senior first baseman also went 1-for-1 in stolen bases with a .565 on-base percentage and .750 slugging. He had two four-hit performances and three overall multi-hit performances. In the 12-8 comeback victory over Wester Michigan, Kuzbel had four hits, including the double and triple, two runs and two RBI. Closing out the weekend at Lafayette, Kuzbel had four hits, three RBI, crossed the plate twice with a stolen base.
 
BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week
Ryan Testani, Seton Hall, Sr., RHP/Relief (Shelton, Conn.)
The Seton Hall reliever appeared in two games last week, picking up a win and a save for the Pirates. He did not allow a single run and only gave up a; total of three hits. On Tuesday at Stetson, Testani worked a perfect ninth inning, earning a save in the Pirates’5-1 victory. On Saturday at No. 2 Florida, he turned in a six-inning relief performance, earning the win when Seton Hall took the lead in the 13th inning. He threw 89 pitches in relief and limited the nation’s No. 2 team to just three hits over six scoreless innings.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Jeff Schank, Butler, Sr., LHP/Starter (Naperville, Ill.)
Schank boasted a complete game shutout in the Bulldogs’ 2-0 win over Fort Wayne. He allowed just four hits and two walks while fanning 11 batters.
Clark Brinkman, Creighton, So., OF (Addison, Ill.)
Despite an 0-2 week, Brinkman batted .833 (5-for-6) with three extra base hits and four RBI. He hit for the cycle over two games at Air Force, collecting the triple and home run in the opening game (3-for-3) and nabbed a double going 2-for-3 in the second half.
Gui Gingras, St. John’s, RS-Sr., 1B (Levis, Quebec)
Batted .636 (7-for-11) with five RBI, one home run to boast a .909 slugging percentage. He went 3-for-3 with four RBI and a homer in the series opener against Liberty, a 5-4 in 10 innings for SJU. In game 2, went 4-for-5 with an RBI, a 4-2 win for the Red Storm and 1-for-3 with a run in the 7-6 loss.
Hunter Schryver, Villanova, Sr., LHP (Mechanicsburg, Pa.)
Earned the win in a 10-1 win for Villanova against Iowa with nine strikeouts, allowing no runs with just three hits.
Joe Gellenbeck, Xavier, Sr., OF (Lebanon, Ohio)
Hit .353 (6-for-17) in a five-game week for Xavier. Gellenbeck scored three times and knocked in three runs, also walked four times to post a .500 on-base percentage for the week. Highlighting his week was a 4-for-4 performance with three RBI, a run scored and a walk in a 8-7 win at SEC opponent Georgia.
