NEW YORK – Eighty-one swimmers and divers were named to the All-BIG EAST team on Wednesday due to superb performances at the 2017 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, N.Y.
The All-BIG EAST squad is comprised of swimmers and divers who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championships. Forty women and 41 men complete the list. A total of 26 women and 27 men earned all-conference honors for multiple events.
The Villanova women secured their fourth-consecutive title while the Seton Hall men claimed their first BIG EAST Championship in Pirate program history. The Wildcats led all women’s teams with 14 All-Conference selections. On the men’s side, Seton Hall led all teams with 14 Pirates selected All-BIG EAST.
