NEW YORK – For the game-winner against then-No. 4 Maryland, Villanova’s Danny Seibel is named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors went to Colin Keating of Providence; while Georgetown’s Jake Carraway repeats as Freshman of the Week.  
 
BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Danny Seibel, Villanova, Jr., A (Wakefield, Mass.)
Seibel scored the game-winning goal with 33 seconds to go in overtime to give the Wildcats their first win ever against Maryland by the final score for 13-12. He scored on all four shots-on-goal he took and added a ground ball. The four goals tied his career high.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Colin Keating, Providence, So., FO (Ridgewood, N.J.)
Keating went 12-for-15 from the faceoff dot while collected six ground balls in a close 11-10 loss for Providence. Keating’s won face offs came mostly in the second half, helping the Friars gain possession and score five unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to come within one goal.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jake Carraway, Georgetown, Fr., A (Annapolis, Md.)
For the second week in a row, Carraway was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. This week’s honor comes after his second-straight hat trick game, this time with three goals in a 12-7 loss to No. 12/13 Duke. He also added three ground balls to tie for second on the Hoyas for the game.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Colin Duffy, St. John’s, So., A (Springfield, Pa.)
Duffy collected four points on a pair of goals and assists in a 9-7 loss to Drexel.  All seven of his shots were on goal. He also picked up five groundballs and one caused turnover.
Kyle Skramko, St. John’s, Sr., LSM (Garden, N.Y.)
The senior LSM picked up four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the 9-7 loss to Drexel.
Mike Madsen, St. John’s, Fr., A (Locust Valley, N.Y.)
Madsen scored two of the Red Storm’s seven goals in a 9-7 loss to Drexel. He also added one ground ball. Both his shots were perfect.
Zachary Kryza, Villanova, Fr., D (Katonah, N.Y.)
Kryza had a huge stop in the finals of regulation where he blocked a Maryland shot that helped keep the game tied and head into overtime. He also added one ground ball. VU won 13-12 in overtime.
