Mollie Stevens, Florida, Sr., A
Stevens had a well-rounded game against No. 13 Denver, leading the third-ranked Gators with five goals and six draw controls, and tying for the team lead with four ground balls. The game marked Stevens’ fourth of the season with at least five goals, and her fifth with at least six draw controls. Florida won its eighth in a row, 15-8, and remains undefeated in BIG EAST play (2-0).
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Grace Gabriel, Marquette, So., M
In the Golden Eagles’ narrow overtime setback at Temple on Saturday, Gabriel matched the Marquette record for goals in a game with six, including the game-tying score to force overtime with 2:44 remaining. The sophomore scored a hat trick in each half to help erase a six-goal deficit and force the extra frame. Gabriel added three draw controls and was 3-for-3 on free position shots.
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Maddy Fisher, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Fisher made a career-high 15 saves and held Connecticut to a season-low six goals in Georgetown’s 14-6 victory on Saturday. The senior faced 29 shots in 60 minutes of action, posting a .714 save percentage to improve her BIG EAST clip to a league-high .696 over the first two games.
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Katie Comerford, Villanova, Fr., A
Comerford led the Wildcats to their first BIG EAST win of the season with five goals and an assist in Sunday’s 16-10 victory over Cincinnati. The rookie added two ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover.

Monica Borzillo, Cincinnati, Fr., A
In a 1-1 week for the Bearcats, Borzillo totaled 12 points off nine goals and three assists, while adding four ground balls, a draw control and caused turnover. The rookie scored five goals in Sunday’s setback to Villanova after totaling four goals and three assists in Friday’s win over Winthrop.
Brenda McDermott, Temple, Sr., A
McDermott was clutch for the Owls on Saturday against Marquette, totaling six points with none bigger than the overtime game-winning goal with 3:19 left in the extra frame. The senior scored a hat trick and added three assists, along with two draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball in Temple’s 17-16 victory.
Kayla Peterson, Vanderbilt, Jr., A
Peterson led the Commodores to their second BIG EAST win of the season with seven goals off seven shots, while adding a pair of draw controls in Vanderbilt’s emphatic 22-4 win over Butler on Saturday.
