All-BIG EAST honorable mention Natisha Hiedeman added 16 points of her own and All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree Erika Davenport put up 12 points and seven rebounds. For the Hoyas, All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree Dionna White led the way with 17 points. Faith Woodard and All-BIG EAST honorable mention Dorothy Adomako each added 13 and Cynthia Petke scored ten points to go with seven rebounds to round out the Hoyas in double figures.

Both teams got off to a slow start in the first ten minutes and were tied 14-14 after a late layup by Blockton to close the quarter. Hiedeman had five points for the Golden Eagles while Dionna White also notched five for Georgetown.
