BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Jack Curran, Villanova, Grad., M (Fair Haven, N.J.)
Jack Curran finished the week with nine points (six goals, three assists) and moved into seventh all-time at Villanova with 134 points. During the Wildcats’ first road game on last Tuesday at Drexel, Curran finished with five points on two goals and three assists to help Villanova come back for a 15-13 win over the Dragons. On Saturday, despite the loss, Curran had a team high four goals against Delaware.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Cole Blazer, Marquette, Jr., G (Libertyville, Ill.)
In a 1-1 week for the goalkeeper, he had 31 saves. Despite a 12-6 loss to No. 20/17 Ohio State, Blazer secured a Marquette program-record 18 saves. Blazer followed this up with a 13-save performance and an 8-6 win over Detroit Mercy on Sunday.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Joe Madsen, St. John’s, Fr., A (Locust Valley, N.Y.)
Red Storm rookie Joe Madsen helped St. John’s to its first win of the season with three goals and an assist, including the game-winner with 27 seconds left. Madsen scored the second, twelfth and 13th goals for St. John’s in a 13-12 win on the road at Siena. Madsen was 3-for-3 with his shots for the afternoon. He also took two shots in SJU’s 8-5 loss to Saint Joseph’s.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Ethan Walker, Denver, Fr., A (Peterborough, Ontario)
Walker netted his fourth hat trick in five games with three goals and an assist in a 13-9 loss against No. 6 North Carolina.
Daniel Bucaro, Georgetown, So., A (East Setauket, N.Y.)
Recorded his second-straight hat trick to lead the Hoyas in scoring for the second straight game, finished the 11-9 loss to Hofstra with three goals and an assist.
Peter Tagliaferri, Georgetown, Jr., FO (Danville, Calif.)
Won 13-of-18 faceoffs (.722) for Georgetown and collected two ground balls, despite a 11-9 loss to Hofstra.
James Cunningham, Providence, Sr., D (Syracuse, N.Y.)
Registered an assist, caused two turnovers and picked up five ground balls in Providence’s 10-8 loss to Sacred Heart.
Kyle Skramko, St. John’s, Sr., LSM (Garden City, N.Y.)
In a 13-12 win at Siena, Skramko caused two turnovers and picked up three ground balls in addition to a goal in the third period to put St. John’s up 10-6.
