No. 3/3 Florida snags two honors as Lindsey Ronbeck and Caroline Fitzgerald set career standards.

BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Lindsey Ronbeck, Florida, So., A
Ronbeck had a career-high tying seven points (five goals, two assists), one ground ball, one draw control and one caused turnover in No. 3/3 Florida’s win at Marquette on Wednesday. The game marked her third of the season with at least five goals and seven points. Against Cincinnati, Ronbeck had a three-for-three shooting performance in the first half, for her seventh hat trick of the season. She finished the week with 10 points off eight goals and two dishes, was 2-2 on free position attempts and added a pair of ground balls.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, So., M
Whitehurst sparked the Hoyas to a pair of victories last week, stuffing the stat sheet with five goals, six ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers. At Villanova on Wednesday, the sophomore matched the team high with three goals while matching the game high with four ground balls as GU scored a 14-13 victory. In a battle of second-place teams on Saturday against Vanderbilt, Whitehurst notched a game-high three caused turnovers, while converting on the other end of the field as well with two goals. She added three draw controls and two ground balls against the Commodores.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Caroline Fitzgerald, Florida, Sr., D
At Marquette on Wednesday, Fitzgerald tied the Gators’ single-game record with a career-high five caused turnovers while helping limit Marquette to seven goals, its lowest output in conference play. Against Cincinnati at home on Saturday, Fitzgerald added a draw control in Florida’s first half shutout of the Bearcats. Fitzgerald helped limit BIG EAST points-leader Monica Borzillo, who entered the contest averaging 5.25 points per game, to just one goal. The Gators outscored their opponents last week 40-9 and improved to 5-0 in BIG EAST play.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Kim McDonough, Villanova, Fr., M
McDonough tied for the scoring lead last week among all league players, tops by a freshman, averaging 5.00 points per game. Against Georgetown on Wednesday, the rookie totaled a game-high six points off three goals and three assists, going 2-3 on free position attempts and adding a pair of draw controls in a narrow one-goal setback. McDonough added a pair of scores at Temple on Saturday to total five goals, three assists on the week.  
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Jill Doherty, Vanderbilt, Sr., A
In a 1-1 week for the Commodores, Doherty totaled seven goals, three assists, seven draw controls, four ground balls and four caused turnovers. The senior was 2-2 in free position attempts and was stellar in Wednesday’s win over UConn with four goals, two assists and four draw controls.
Kendra Lanuza, Denver, So., A
In the Pioneers’ 2-0 week which included wins over Butler and Marquette, the sophomore totaled six goals, four assists, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. At Butler on Wednesday, Lanuza scored on all four shots she took, while adding a pair of helpers.
Nicole Latgis, Temple, Jr., D
Latgis was assigned to Cincinnati's leading scorer, Monica Borzillo, who was held to zero goals and just a single assist in the Owls' 11-9 win against the Bearcats, recording four caused turnovers and six ground balls. The junior added three caused turnovers and three ground balls in the Villanova win, helping to hold Villanova's leading scorer, Katie Comerford, to just a single goal.
