UConn’s Nolan tallies 17 points while Temple’s Lowell denies 17 shots in postseason-clinching outing.

BIG EAST Attacker Of The Week
Grace Nolan, Connecticut, Jr., A
Nolan totaled a staggering 17 points in a 2-0 week for the Huskies, beginning with four goals, three assists in a 17-14 win over Marquette on Wednesday, followed by career bests of five goals, five assists in an 18-11 win at Cincinnati on Saturday. The junior started the week ranked outside the top 10 in the conference for points per game and now leads the BIG EAST with a 4.86 points per contest average, bumping her clip from 3.4.
 
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Francesca Whitehurst, Georgetown, So., M
Whitehurst repeats as the league’s top midfielder after stuffing the stat sheet in a pivotal 2-0 week for the Hoyas. The sophomore totaled seven points off six goals and an assist, seven draw controls, five ground balls and two caused turnovers. She notched a hat trick in wins over Cincinnati and at Marquette to help Georgetown clinch a spot in the BIG EAST Championship.
 
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Maryn Lowell, Temple, Fr., GK
Lowell made a career-high 17 saves in Temple's 11-10 win at Vanderbilt to help the Owls clinch a BIG EAST Tournament berth for the second straight year. Her 17-save total is the second-most for any player in the conference this season and broke her previous high by six. In the Owls' other game of the week, a 19-7 win over Butler, she made four saves while allowing just three goals in 30 minutes of action. The rookie went 2-0 for the week to improve to 10-1 for the season, posting a .618 save percentage.
 
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Katie Comerford, Villanova, Fr., A
Comerford garners her third BIG EAST certificate of the season after posting impressive performances against a pair of nationally ranked squads. In Wednesday’s tilt at No. 3/3 Florida, Comerford scored three goals off four shots, burying her one free position attempt, and adding an assist. In Saturday’s game against No. 13/13 Denver, the rookie scored four goals and added a ground ball. For the week, Comerford totaled eight points off seven goals and an assist, and was 2-2 in free position attempts.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Emily Conway, Denver, Sr., M
Conway sparked No. 13/13 Denver to a pair of pivotal wins last week with 10 points off nine goals and an assist. Against Vanderbilt on Wednesday, the senior scored a then-career-high three goals before doubling that total at Villanova on Saturday with six scores, as the Pioneers clinched a spot in the BIG EAST Championship.
Carly Demato, Temple, Sr., A
Demato was the clutch player of the week for the Owls, totaling eight goals, two of which were game winners, in victories over Butler and Vanderbilt. The senior notched four goals in each game, with none bigger than the go-ahead score with 64 seconds left at Vanderbilt on Saturday, as Temple erased a three-goal deficit to top the Commodores and clinch a spot in the BIG EAST Championship.
Mollie Stevens, Florida, Sr., A
In a 2-0 week for the third-ranked Gators, Stevens totaled five points off three goals and two assists, while adding 16 draw controls and two ground balls. The senior had nine draw controls in the first of the win over Butler to etch her name into the Florida record book for most draw controls in a season at 85 and counting.
