Maggie Tripodi, Connecticut, Sr., A
Tripodi tied for the points lead last week with six off four goals and two assists in the Huskies’ win over NR/RV Temple on Saturday. Trailing 7-6 last in the first, the senior reeled off a pair of scores to give UConn a lead which it would carry into halftime. The Huskies never trailed again as Tripodi tacked on two more scores midway through the second while adding a pair of second-half assists.
BIG EAST Midfielder Of The Week
Morgan Glassford, Temple, Sr., M
Glassford stuffed the stat sheet at Connecticut on Saturday, totaling a career-high four goals, four ground balls, a game-high six draw controls and two caused turnovers. Her four goals were off six shots. The senior now holds the top two spots all-time at Temple for single-season draws (78 in 2016, 69 in 2017).
BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week
Layne Voorhees, Denver, Sr., D
Voorhees anchored a suffocating defensive look that pitched the fourth shutout in school history in a 17-0 win over Cincinnati on Friday. The senior sooped two ground balls and added a career-best eight caused turnovers as the Pioneers had 18 caused turnovers as a team. The eight caused turnovers is tied for Denver’s single-game record and Voorhees has 39 caused turnovers on the season, leading the BIG EAST and ninth in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game at 2.44. She helped lower DU’s GAA to 7.78, fifth in the nation and tops in the BIG EAST, by allowing only seven shots with two on goal.
BIG EAST Freshman Of The Week
Cara Trombetta, Florida, Fr., D
Trombetta once again shut down the opposing team’s top goal-scorer, limiting Georgetown’s Taylor Gebhardt to just one goal on four shot attempts. She also drew a charge, caused a turnover, and collected two ground balls, while limiting the Hoyas to just three goals, their lowest scoring output of the season. With the win, No. 2/3 Florida completed its second consecutive undefeated BIG EAST season and claimed at least a share of its third consecutive regular-season crown.

Katie Comerford, Villanova, Fr., A
In her final outing of the season, Comerford totaled six points off three goals and three assists in Saturday’s win at Butler.
Jill Doherty, Vanderbilt, Sr., A
In Sunday’s setback to Marquette, Doherty lit up the stat sheet with five points off four goals and an assist, along with eight draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball.
Julianna Shearer, Marquette, Sr., A
Shearer sparked the Golden Eagles to a win at Vanderbilt on Sunday with four points off three goals and an assist, along with five ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
