Amanda Carolan, Georgetown, R-So., F
Carolan guided the offense in the Hoyas’ 1-1 weekend, highlighted by Sunday’s 4-0 win over George Washington. Against the Colonials, the junior tallied a goal and assist – registering the helper on the game-winning goal in the 49
th minute before providing an insurance score in the 89
th. The redshirt-sophomore was also credited with a shot in Friday’s narrow 1-0 setback to No. 1 West Virginia.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Wenger, Georgetown, Sr., D
Wenger anchored a defense which surrendered just one goal as the Hoyas outshot their opponents by a 33-12 margin over two games. The lone goal allowed was against No. 1 West Virginia on Friday, which Georgetown outshot 13-7. Sunday against George Washington, the Hoyas allowed zero corner kicks and tallied a 20-5 shooting margin in Georgetown’s impressive 4-0 victory.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Leonie Doege, Butler, Fr., GK
Doege’s collegiate debut was a stellar one as the rookie earned a four-save shutout at No. 18 Notre Dame. Doege played all 110 minutes of the double-overtime clean sheet, making two saves in each half of regulation.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Jasmine Ruiz, Villanova, Fr., M/F
Ruiz picked the perfect time to score her first collegiate goal, in the 92
nd minute as the Wildcats topped Delaware in overtime on Sunday afternoon. The rookie registered two shots against the Blue Hens with one beating the keeper in the 2-1 victory.

Samantha Dewey, Xavier, Jr., F
Dewey led the Musketeers in their 3-2 win over Cleveland State on Friday, scoring back-to-back goals in the 63
rd and 71
st minute to break the 0-0 tie. The junior took three shots on the night, with two beating the keeper.
Maddy Henry, Marquette, So., GK
Henry helped Marquette to a 1-1 week with a win over Kentucky and a loss to No. 2 Stanford, while making a total of 11 saves, including a career-best nine against the Cardinal. The sophomore made two stops in Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Wildcats.
Conner Huggins, Villanova, So., D
Huggins led the Wildcat defense against Delaware in Sunday’s 2-1, allowing just three Blue Hen shots to be on target as Villanova posted a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal. VU also carried a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Zsani Kajan, St. John’s, R-Fr., F
In her Red Storm debut on Friday, Kajan scored the go-ahead goal in the 72
nd minute to give St. John’s its second lead of the game. La Salle would eventually counter and the game ended in a 3-3 draw. Kajan totaled a team-high five shots on the night.
Arielle Schechtman, Georgetown, Sr., GK
Schechtman posted an .857 save percentage in a 1-1 weekend, tallying her first shutout of the season against George Washington on Sunday after surrendering just one goal to the nation’s No. 1 team in West Virginia on Friday. She totaled six saves on the weekend.
