Shutout Victories Highlight #BIGEASTwsoc Weekly Honors
Butler, DePaul, No. 11 Georgetown and Marquette outscore opponents 22-0 last week to claim weekly awards.
BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Alexa Ben, DePaul, Sr., M
Ben was the league’s goals leader with three tallies in DePaul’s 2-0 week. The senior scored twice in Friday’s emphatic 5-0 win over Akron before scoring the game winner against Drexel on Sunday. Ben totaled six shots on the weekend and was named the Loyola Invitational Most Valuable Player.
BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Kelly Ann Livingstone, Georgetown, Fr., D
Livingstone led the No. 11 Hoyas’ defensive effort in a pair of shutout wins last week. Georgetown blanked Delaware (1-0) and Loyola Maryland (5-0), outshooting its opponents by a 29-4 margin, while allowing just two shots on goal.
BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Maddy Henry, Marquette, So., GK
Henry recorded back-to-back shutout victories for the Golden Eagles last week, highlighted by a four-save clean sheet at Louisville on Sunday. The sophomore totaled five saves on the week as Marquette topped Drake 3-0 and the Cardinals 2-0 to improve to 3-1-0 on the season.

Caitlyn DiSarcina, Butler, Fr., F
The Butler rookie scored back-to-back game-winning goals in a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs. DiSarcina’s first collegiate goal came in the 48
th minute at Michigan State on Thursday as Butler scored a 1-0 victory over the Spartans. She followed that with the go-ahead score in the 73
rd minute on Sunday in a 2-0 victory over Bowling Green.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Christina Bellero, St. John’s, Jr., F
Bellero totaled five points off two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Red Storm. The junior scored goals against Marist on Tuesday and at Fairfield on Sunday to become the first St. John’s player since at least 2008 to score a goal in each of the first three games.
Rachel Corboz, Georgetown, Sr., M
Corboz totaled five points off two goals and an assist last week as the 11
th-ranked Hoyas topped Delaware and Loyola (Md.). The senior scored a pair of goals against the Greyhounds and added a dish against the Blue Hens.
Samantha Dewey, Xavier, Jr., F
In a 1-0-1 week for the Musketeers, Dewey tallied a team-high six shots, finding the back of the net once – in the 28
th minute for the game winner against Ball State on Friday. Following Sunday’s draw with Pittsburgh, Xavier improved to 2-0-1 on its home turf.
Leonie Doege, Butler, Fr., GK
The rookie keeper played 135 minutes of scoreless action last week, highlighted by a six-save shutout win at Michigan State on Thursday night. She added one stop in 45 minutes against Bowling Green on Sunday.
Lucy Edwards, DePaul, Sr., D
Anchored DePaul’s defensive backline that didn’t allow a goal in its two matches against Drexel and Akron. Allowed Akron to fire off just two shots in the Blue Demon’s 5-0 win. For her individual effort, Edwards was named to the Loyola Invitational all-tournament team.
