th minute by beating Emily Harris off a cross from Casey Estey. Harris finished with four saves while PC’s Shelby Hogan denied three shots for her fourth clean sheet of 2017. Providence held a 16-8 advantage in shots and 7-2 lead in corners.

The Blue Demons and Pirates came away from their BIG EAST openers with a point apiece following a 1-1 double-overtime draw in Chicago on Saturday afternoon. Morgan Turner got DePaul on the board first in the 25
th minute, converting on a feed from Franny Cerny. The Blue Demons held a 7-2 advantage in shots over the first 45 minutes before the Pirates’ offense came alive in the second frame. SHU outshot DePaul 5-4 in the second half, including the game-tying goal by Cassy Harrigan in the 87
th off a cross from Andrea Palermo. The Pirates continued to drive in the overtime periods, earning a 3-1 advantage in shots, yet both teams remained off the scoreboard in the 20 minutes of extra time. Lauren Frasca finished with five saves for DePaul, while Laura Dramis played the final 65 minutes for The Hall and collected four saves.

The nationally ranked Hoyas stretched their unbeaten shutout streak to five games as Caitlin Farrell took advantage of a failed clearance by the Red Storm keeper in the 81
st minute. Farrell collected the attempted clear and dribbled up to 25 yards out and blasted a shot to the upper right corner of the net for the game winner. The goal was Farrell’s BIG EAST-leading sixth of the year and third of the game-winning variety. Despite the narrow score, the Hoyas controlled the game offensively, holding a 17-3 advantage in shots. St. John’s Antonia Tammaro made eight saves to keep the Red Storm in contention throughout the tilt.

Paige Monaghan highlighted the afternoon as the junior forward totaled five points off two goals and an assist to lead RV Butler to its eighth consecutive shutout victory. The Bulldogs hosted RV Marquette in both teams’ conference opener on Sunday afternoon. Monaghan notched what would be the game winner in the 13
th minute, with Elena Gutlove and Halle Stelbasky credited with assists. Stelbasky joined Monaghan on the assist on Gabrielle Lemkuil’s goal in the 55
th before Monaghan completed the stellar day in the 77
th minute with another score. Butler played a pair of goalkeepers with Leonie Doege and Hannah Luedtke combining for three saves. Maddy Henry made three saves for the Golden Eagles, while Kylie Sprecher was credited with a pair of shots.
