All 10 teams were in action last night, with No. 17 Georgetown topping DePaul, 4-0, and Xavier edging Providence, 1-0, to remain atop the BIG EAST standings at 2-0. RV Butler and Seton Hall remained unbeaten in conference play as the two teams remained scoreless over 110 minutes for The Hall’s second consecutive draw. Leonie Doege and Hannah Luedtke combined for Butler’s ninth consecutive clean sheet, while Laura Dramis earned her first start of 2017 for The Hall and collected the Pirates’ first shutout of the fall. Amanda Carolan scored two goals in the Hoyas’ win at DePaul, while Toni Bizzarro denied all eight shots faced at home against Providence to lead the Musketeers to their first 2-0 start since joining the BIG EAST. Other standouts on the night include Villanova’s Emily Kuefler, whose two goals led the Wildcats to their first win over Marquette in series history, while St. John’s got a spark from Christina Bellero who notched golden goal in the 105
th minute against Creighton.

RV Butler will look to remain unbeaten in conference play when it travels to Providence, while RV Marquette eyes its first league win when it travels to St. John’s. Both matches are set for 1 p.m. (ET) starts. Additional matchups include Seton Hall at No. 17 Georgetown (1 p.m.), Xavier at Villanova (1 p.m.) and DePaul at Creighton (2 p.m.).

#17 Georgetown 4, DePaul 0
Georgetown snapped a seven game winless streak against the Blue Demons with a 4-0 win in Chicago, improving its record to 8-2-1 overall and 2-0-0 in league play this year. DePaul falls to 4-6-1 overall, 0-1-1 in BIG EAST action. Amanda Carolan led the Hoyas with a pair of goals while Rachel Corboz and Taylor Pak both added a goal and an assist. Jenna Menta chipped in the other lone assist in the game.

RV Butler 0, Seton Hall 0 (2OT)
The Bulldogs moved to 8-1-2 overall and 1-0-1 in league with a 0-0 tie at Seton Hall (0-6-4, 0-0-2) on Thursday night. 110 minutes of back and forth action could not separate the two clubs. The result marks Butler's ninth-straight shutout of the season. The box score between Butler and Seton Hall was even in nearly every category. SHU took one more shot that Butler (9-8) with each team taking one in double overtime and none in the first overtime. Saves were even at 3-3 and corner kicks favored Butler 4-2.

Villanova 4, RV Marquette 1
Emily Kuefler netted two goals as Villanova scored a 4-1 victory over RV Marquette. This was the Wildcats’ first road win of the season and also the first win against Marquette in program history. Villanova improves to 5-6 on the year and 1-1 in conference play, next they will host Xavier on Sunday afternoon. Marquette moves to 7-4-1 overall and 0-2 in BIG EAST play.

St. John’s 1, Creighton 0 (2OT)
Returning to the friendly confines of Belson Stadium after opening BIG EAST play on the road, St. John’s (5-5-1, 1-1-0 BIG EAST) picked up its first league win of the season when junior Christina Bellero found the back of the net in the 105th minute as the Red Storm defeated Creighton, 1-0, in double overtime. Freshman Maia Cabrera sent a brilliant through ball from midfield to an open Bellero, who beat the Bluejays’ McKenzie Meola for the golden goal. The tally was Bellero’s team-leading fifth of the season. Creighton falls to 2-8-1 on the year and 0-2 in BIG EAST play.

Xavier 1, Providence 0
Xavier moved to 2-0 in BIG EAST play after Tori Doss' second goal of the season propelled the Musketeers past Providence. Doss struck early in the first half to give Xavier the lead and Toni Bizzarro made eight saves in-goal to keep the Friars scoreless. The Musketeers moved to 6-4-2 overall with the second-straight win, while Providence drops to 6-5-0 overall and 1-1 in league action.
