Georgetown senior forward averages 25.0 points, 9.5 rebounds against top teams in the BIG EAST standings.

BIG EAST Player of the Week
Cynthia Petke, Georgetown, Sr., F
Petke was the league’s No. 1 scorer and No. 5 rebounder last week, averaging 25.0 points off .541 shooting and 9.5 rebounds. The senior’s week was highlighted by a 26-point, 13-rebound, three-steal outing in Friday’s win over previously unbeaten RV/RV Marquette. She added a game-high 24 points against NR/RV DePaul on Sunday, along with six boards and three steals. This is Petke’s first career BIG EAST Player of the Week honor and the first by a Hoya since Dorothy Adomako on Dec. 12, 2016.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Chanell Williams, Providence, Fr., G
Williams garners her second BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor of the year after stuffing the stat sheet in a pair of road games for the Friars. The rookie averaged 8.5 points of 50-percent shooting, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in contests at Xavier and Butler. She posted the top assist-turnover ratio for a newcomer last week with a 2.3 mark.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Anniina Äijänen, Xavier, Sr., F
In the Musketeers’ lone game of the week, Äijänen totaled 19 points and 11 rebounds, making 8-of-11 attempts from the field as the Musketeers topped Providence on Friday.
Inja Butina, Seton Hall, Jr., G
Butina led the Pirates to a win over St. John’s on Sunday with 15 points, five assists and three rebounds, knocking down 3-of-4 attempts from deep and nearly 43 percent of her shots overall.
Erika Davenport, Marquette, Jr., F
Davenport averaged 16.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and .481 shooting in a 1-1 weekend for the Golden Eagles. The junior’s weekend was highlighted by a 22-point, 12-rebound showing in Sunday’s win at RV/RV Villanova.
Alex Louin, Villanova, Sr., G
In a 1-1 week for the Wildcats, Louin averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and .667 shooting, including a game-high 17 points in Friday’s win over NR/RV DePaul. The senior knocked down 7-of-8 attempts from the field against the Blue Demons.
Tori Schickel, Butler, Jr., F/C
In a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs, Schickel averaged 20 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and .630 shooting. The junior went for 27 points and nine boards in Sunday’s win over Providence.
