Creighton 53, St. John’s 39
The Bluejays avenged an overtime loss to the Red Storm earlier this month as Ali Greene had a career night with 14 points and six boards. Creighton improved to 12-8 overall and 6-4 in BIG EAST action, while St. John's fell to 12-9 on the season and 5-5 in conference play. The Red Storm, which entered the night averaging .422 shooting, was plagued by a season-low .259 clip. St. John’s held the Bluejays to just three points in the second quarter but then scored just six themselves in the third as Creighton turned a three-point deficit into a seven-point lead, which the Bluejays built on in the fourth. NR/RV Villanova 89, Xavier 50
The Wildcats posted the best shooting performance by a BIG EAST team in over four years after making 37-of-60 (.617) attempts from the field to lead wire-to-wire at Cintas Center on Friday night. Creighton also made 37-of-60 on Jan. 11, 2014, at Providence. Alex Louin led all players with 24 points, knocking down 9-of-14 attempts from the field and 5-of-10 from deep in just 26 minutes of action. Na'Teshia Owens led Xavier with 11 points as 10 different Musketeers cracked the scoring column. Villanova improved to 16-5 on the year, 6-4 in BIG EAST play, while Xavier dropped to 9-12, 2-8.

Georgetown 63, Butler 52
The Hoyas took their first lead with 8:49 left in the third and led for all but two minutes the rest of the way to steal a win at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Friday night. Three Georgetown (9-11, 4-6 BIG EAST) players scored in double figures as Dionna White matched Butler’s Whitney Jennings for the game high of 19 points. The Hoyas committed a season-low seven turnovers while forcing the Bulldogs (13-9, 5-5) into 20 miscues, resulting in 25 Georgetown points. White and DiDi Burton combined for eight steals on the night, while Jennings made 5-of-10 attempts from beyond the arc.

Seton Hall 65, Providence 56
Behind a game-high 22 points from JaQuan Jackson, Seton Hall (13-8, 5-5 BIG EAST) won its third-straight and leveled its conference record with a 65-56 win at Providence (8-14, 1-9) on Friday morning. The win marked a regular season sweep of the Friars to kick off the second half of the BIG EAST round-robin schedule. PC was hosting its 11
th annual Project Providence event, welcoming over 1,200 local elementary school students to the midday game. The lead changed hands nine times in the opening half but The Hall used decisive late-game runs to pull away from the Friars. Providence was led by Maddie Jolin’s 16 points, but the Pirates turned 25 Friar turnovers into 29 points to earn the edge.
