#MarchToMSG: Complete Coverage of @BIGEASTMBB In 2018
NEW YORK – BIG EAST men’s basketball conference action started last week as all 10 teams began the 90-game march to the 2018 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by Jeep. In addition to watching the games live on television, fans can interact and get men’s basketball content from various broadcast, social and digital media platforms.

- FOX Sports, the league’s television partner carries the majority of the BIG EAST matchups with 15 conference games featured on the FOX broadcast network, starting with Xavier at Providence at noon ET on Saturday, Jan. 6. FOX will carry BIG EAST doubleheaders on three straight Saturdays in February – Feb. 10, 17 and 24. Each twinbill will begin at noon ET. On Saturday, March 3, the last day of the regular season, FOX will have a tripleheader of Wild Card selections starting at noon. The BIG EAST will play a holiday doubleheader on MLK Day, Jan. 15. Butler plays at Providence at 4:30 p.m. and DePaul travels to Marquette at 9 p.m. Both games will be telecast on FS1. For the third straight season, the BIG EAST Tournament championship final will be carried on FOX. FS1 tourney coverage will begin with a first-round doubleheader on Wednesday, March 7. Quarterfinal doubleheaders will be played Thursday afternoon and evening, March 8. The semifinal doubleheader is held Friday, March 9, followed by the championship game on Saturday evening, March 10. Tipoff will be 6:30 p.m. ET on the FOX broadcast network.
- FS2 and the FOX Sports Regional Networks will air games not carried by FOX, FS1, CBS or CBS Sports Network.
- On Jan. 12, DePaul will host Providence in the first-ever commercial-free, mic’d up men’s college basketball telecast. The game will be carried on FS1. Head coaches Dave Leitao of DePaul and Ed Cooley of Providence will wear live microphones, giving viewers the chance to hear directly from the sidelines, huddles and locker rooms from tipoff through the final whistle and everything in between. - All BIG EAST contests on FOX will be streamed on FOX Sports GO, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. FOX Sports GO app users who are also subscribers of participating video providers can live stream men’s basketball telecasts carried on the FOX broadcast network, FS1, FS2, and the FOX Sports Regional Networks.
On The Airwaves
- This Week In The BIG EAST radio show returns for the fifth season with hosts John Rooke and Kevin McNamara. The 10-episode show, which airs weekly starting Jan. 4, is produced and distributed by Westwood One radio and is available for download on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher as well as on BIGEAST.com. This Week In The BIG EAST features timely interviews from BIG EAST players, coaches and the national media. Tweet at #TWITBE for questions for Rooke and McNamara and future guests. The show will also play on Sirius XM Satellite Radio at 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturdays.
- Westwood One Sports’ BIG EAST schedule includes five league matchups for the regular season. The games featured will be Jan. 10, Xavier at Villanova; Feb. 24, Providence at Georgetown and Feb. 28, Villanova at Seton Hall and a “Wildcard” game on March 3. Tuesday’s Butler-Xavier game kicked off Westwood One’s coverage on Jan. 2. Additionally, St. John’s non-conference tilt with Duke on Feb. 3 will air on Westwood One. - The fifth season of FS1’s Inside The BIG EAST kicked off on Sunday, Dec. 31, ringing in the New Year with coaches’ insight from Georgetown’s first year head coach Patrick Ewing, a tour of DePaul’s brand new Wintrust Arena in Chicago and a check back on the third installment of the BIG EAST’s Freshman Fundamentals program. The weekly 30-minute show is dedicated to covering the conference from all angles, running for 10-consecutive Sundays and culminating on the Sunday prior to the BIG EAST tournament. Inside The BIG EAST covers each of the conference's 10 programs every week.
- BIG EAST Shootaround, the league’s live weekly digital show continues to heat up as conference play gets started. The show premiered in early August and has aired every Thursday. BIG EAST Shootaround features behind the scenes and in-depth stories from the Conference’s 10 member schools. The show is hosted by John Fanta and Jay Alter. All 10 coaches have been weekly guests, as well as players, media members and other basketball insiders. Shootaround can be watched on the BIG EAST Facebook page and @BIGEAST Twitter handle, FOX Sports GO, and archived via podcast (iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher) and YouTube.
