NEW YORK - The fourth season of
This Week In The BIG EAST Radio Show, distributed by Westwood One, dropped Thursday night. The season premier featured guests: Butler head coach LaVall Jordan, Creighton senior guard Marcus Foster and senior national college basketball writer for The Athletic Dana O'Neil.
The 2017-18 season of This Week In The BIG EAST is available for download on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher in addition to its Westwood One Distribution. This week's episode will also air on Sirius Satellite Radio on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. ET on Sirius 108/XM 203/App Channel 963.
The hosts for This Week In The BIG EAST (#TWITBE) are John Rooke, a well-known BIG EAST play-by-play voice for 30 years, and Kevin McNamara, who has covered the BIG EAST for 28 seasons at the
Providence Journal and is a columnist for
Basketball Times. Rooke and McNamara give a comprehensive look at the teams, coaches, players and storied tradition of the top basketball conference in America in each episode.
The episode's "Who's Hot" segment features audio clips from some recent big performances around the league and a recap of the league's weekly honors. "Who's got next?" takes a look at the upcoming schedule, highlighting the big matchups.
The first BIG EAST Spotlight shines on new Butler head coach Jordan, who recaps the Bulldogs' exciting upset of then-No. 1 Villanova during the opening week of league play. The BIG EAST Focus centers on Creighton's guard Foster, a first team All-BIG EAST standout and recent Senior CLASS Award candidate. The national perspective comes from O'Neil who brings her knowledge of the current landscape and the BIG EAST Conference.
