First-place Hoyas and Bulldogs pick up shutout victories on Sunday, while Marquette, DePaul and Villanova also earn three points.

#7 Georgetown 3, Seton Hall 0
Scoreless at halftime, the Hoyas controlled the second half with three goals and 12-0 margin in shots to pick up their third BIG EAST win and remain unbeaten (10-0-2) on the season. Six different Georgetown players recorded a point, including three different goal scorers, highlighted by Caitlin Farrell’s BIG EAST-leading ninth goal and 19th point of the year. Anna MacLean had seven saves for the Pirates, while Izzy Engel and Cassy Harrigan were credited with shots.

Villanova 2, Xavier 1
The Wildcats picked up their second BIG EAST win in a row to remain in a tie for third place in the standings. Xavier struck first as Sabrina Kunimoto’s first goal of the season came in the 18th minute. Both teams remained scoreless until Villanova’s Claire Fell got the Wildcats on the board in the 62nd. Five minutes later, Jasmine Ruiz scored the go-ahead goal for VU. Hensley Hancuff had three saves in the win while Toni Bizzarro made three in the loss.

Marquette 1, St. John’s 0
The Golden Eagles picked up their first BIG EAST win of the season thanks to seven saves by Maddy Henry and a 78th minute strike by Alyssa Bombacino. Henry made four stops in the first half and three in the second as the visiting Red Storm took 20 shots on the day to edge Marquette by one in the category. Meredith Reinhardt had five saves for St. John’s, which is now locked in a five-way tie, including MU, for fifth place in the BIG EAST standings. Christina Bellero and Samie Scaffidi each took six shots for the Red Storm.

DePaul 2, Creighton 1 (OT)
The host Blue Demons rallied from a 1-0 first-half deficit to score two unanswered goals, including Madeline Frick’s golden goal in the 95th, to remain in a tie for third place in the BIG EAST standings. Kylin Grubb gave the Bluejays the lead in the 33rd minute before an own goal knotted the game in the 55th. Mollie Eriksson had four saves in the win, while Katie Sullivan had seven in the setback.

Butler 1, Providence 0
Madison Toth’s 56th-minute goal led the Bulldogs to a third consecutive BIG EAST win to remain tied atop the standings with nationally ranked Georgetown. Butler outshot Providence 15-5, with none of PC’s strikes landing on target. Shelby Hogan made six saves to keep the Friars in contention, but Hogan was peppered all day. Anja Savich had five shots for Butler.
