Non-Conference Conclusion

The final six regular season non-conference matches for BIG EAST men’s soccer will be played tonight, with multiple quality wins on the line. Most notable, Butler visits No. 2 Indiana at 7:30 p.m., with the Bulldogs coming off their first BIG EAST win of the season. The Hoosiers were listed at No. 1 in the latest NCAA RPI and are 11-2-0 on the year. Another match to watch is No. 8 Creighton at Akron (7 p.m.). The Zips have made 28 trips to the NCAA Championship, winning the whole thing in 2010, and knocked off then-No. 8 Michigan State on the road a week ago. Additionally, Xavier (at Western Michigan), Providence (at Brown) and Villanova (at UMBC) all hit the road to face teams with winning records. Seton Hall has the lone home contest on the night as the Pirates welcome NJIT at 6:30 p.m.

In The Polls
Following a 3-1 win over Xavier, Creighton moved back into the top 10 of the United Soccer Coaches Poll, improving four spots to No. 8. This marks the third week this season the Bluejays are in the top 10, with the No. 8 ranking matching their best of the year. After a two-week absence, Georgetown used a four-match unbeaten streak to earn votes, marking the sixth week this season they’re either receiving votes or ranked.
