BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Player Of the Week
Allazia Blockton, Marquette, Sr., G
In a 3-0 week for the 19
th-ranked Golden Eagles, Blockton averaged 21.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and .591 shooting in victories over South Dakota State, Montana State and Northern Iowa. She posted back-to-back 20-plus point outings to finish the week, including 23 against Montana State on Friday and 22 against Northern Iowa on Sunday. Her scoring averaged ranked second overall in the BIG EAST last week and tops among players who played three games.

Femi Funeus, Seton Hall, Fr., F
In a 3-0 week for the Pirates, Funeus went for 13.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game over her first week of collegiate action. Her biggest performance came in The Hall’s closest game of the week, when Funeus went off for 21 points and nine rebounds in a 102-80 win against Kennesaw State. She was named to the Seton Hall Tip-Off All-Tournament Tournament team for her efforts. Overall on the week Funeus shot 69.6 percent from the floor and added a pair of blocked shots. She is the BIG EAST’s lone rookie to eclipse the 20-point mark so far this season.

Dorothy Adomako, Georgetown, Grad., G
Seeing her first game action since 2016-17, Adomako led Georgetown to a 2-0 week by averaging 16.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists, highlighted by an 18-point, 10-rebound outing in Friday’s win over UMES.
Kadaja Bailey, St. John’s, Fr., G
Bailey had an impressive debut on Friday, totaling 14 points and a BIG EAST-best 13 rebounds in just 29 minutes off the bench in a large-margin win at Iona. The BIG EAST Preseason Freshman of the Year added three steals.
Rebekah Dahlman, DePaul, Sr., G
Dahlman led the fourth-quarter rally in 15
th-ranked DePaul’s win over RV/RV Green Bay on Friday, totaling 21 points, including eight in the fourth frame. She went 11-of-12 from the free-throw line in her first full game for the Blue Demons since transferring from Vanderbilt in 2017.
Audrey Faber, Creighton, Sr., F
Faber was the league’s top scorer last week, averaging 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Bluejays. Her 27 points against South Dakota on Wednesday are the most scored in the BIG EAST this season.
A’riana Gray, Xavier, So., F
Gray led the Musketeers to a 2-0 week by averaging 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and .737 shooting, highlighted by 24 points, 10 rebounds in Sunday’s win over Tennessee Tech.
