Seton Hall, Butler and Villanova posted Thanksgiving Day wins to advance in their respective tournaments.  All three are back in action on Friday in addition to Marquette’s appearance in the NIT Tip-Off.

At the Wooden Legacy, Myles Powell dropped a career-high 40 points on Grand Canyon and led Seton Hall to an 82-75 victory.  It was the 15th 40-point game in school history.  The junior shot 12-of-16 from the floor, 5-of-7 from 3-point range and 11-of-14 from the foul line.  The Hall will play Hawaii tonight in the semifinals at 11:30 ET on ESPN2.

At the Battle 4 Atlantis, Butler bounced back impressively from a first-round defeat and dealt Middle Tennessee State an 84-53 loss.  The Bulldogs set a tournament record by making 16 3-pointers.  Sean McDermott scored a career-high 21 points, all on shots from beyond the arc.  Paul Jorgensen matched McDermott with 21 points.  Butler meets Florida in the fifth-place game at 9:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

At the Advocare Invitational, Villanova got back on track with an 83-56 victory over Canisius.  Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree notched his career scoring high and his first double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Phil Booth added 13 points.  The Wildcats controlled the boards 51-24 and held Canisius to 32.7 shooting from the field.  The Wildcats play Oklahoma State at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN.

Marquette will battle Louisville, led by former Xavier coach Chris Mack, in the third-place game of the NIT Tip-Off at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.  Marquette lost 77-68 to No. 2 Kansas on Wednesday.
