Georgetown’s Jessie Govan was the night’s top scorer, tallying 29 points in a 90-82 win over Richmond.  The senior center shot 11-of-15 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line.  He also pulled down nine rebounds.

Creighton’s hot shooting was too much for Montana in a 98-72 victory.  The Bluejays (6-1) shot 60.4 percent from the field (32-of-53) and 54.2 percent from 3-point range (13-of-24).  Damien Jefferson led five players in double figures with 18 points.  Ty-Shon Alexander added 17 points.  All five starters shot better than 50 percent from the floor.

DePaul used a 26-point effort from Eli Cain to hold off Cleveland State 83-73.  The senior guard made 9-of-14 from the field and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.  Transfer Jalen Coleman-Landis scored a DePaul-high 15 points.  The Blue Demons (4-1) outscored the Vikings 48-26 in the paint.  DePaul plays six of its next seven games at home.

Xavier rolled to an 82-55 win over Miami, Ohio.  The Musketeers (4-3) led 42-28 by intermission and were not threatened in the second half.  Naji Marshall showed the way with 17 points.  Tyrique Jones posted his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Xavier held Miami, Ohio to 33.3 shooting from the floor.
