DePaul, the only BIG EAST squad in action on Wednesday, took control early and cruised to a 104-70 victory against Chicago State at Wintrust Arena.  The win gave the Blue Demons a 6-0 record at home, their best home start since the 2006-07 team won its first seven in a row.

Max Strus led the Blue Demons, 6-2 overall, with team highs of 27 points and eight rebounds.  Eli Cain, who was starting his 100th career game, posted his third career double-double with 17 points and 11 assists.

DePaul shot 54.7 percent from the field and held the Cougars to 37.7 percent.  The Blue Demons have a quick turnaround and face another local foe, Illinois-Chicago, on Friday.  FS1 will televise at 7 p.m. ET.

Creighton is the only other BIG EAST in action on Friday.  The Bluejays host Green Bay in the second game of the FS1 doubleheader at 9 p.m.  Creighton (6-3) wants to get back into the winning column after losing to Gonzaga and Nebraska.

The BIG EAST schedule is dark on Thursday.

Saturday’s schedule shows a full day of BIG EAST hoops.  At noon on ESPN, Villanova travels to No. 1 Kansas.  FS1 has three games – SMU at Georgetown at noon, Rutgers at Seton Hall at 2 p.m. and Eastern Kentucky at Xavier at 8 p.m.
