BIG EAST Player of the Week
Dionna White, Georgetown, Jr., G
In a road swing against the two first-place teams in the BIG EAST, White averaged 30.0 points per game, along with .581 shooting, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.5 assists. The junior led the Hoyas to its first win over a ranked opponent since 2014 with 33 points, four rebounds and four steals at RV/24 DePaul on Friday. She followed that with 27 points off 11-18 shooting, four rebounds and two dimes in Georgetown’s three-point setback at -/RV Marquette on Sunday. White began the weekend averaging 17.7 points per game and by the end of the weekend bumped that mark up to 18.6 to rank second in the BIG EAST. With one weekend remaining, the Hoyas are the only team so far to earn series splits with both the Blue Demons and Golden Eagles.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Qadashah Hoppie, St. John’s, Fr., G
Hoppie garners her fourth weekly honor after leading the Red Storm to a crucial win over Seton Hall on Friday night. The rookie posted 18 points off 6-of-12 shooting, including a 3-of-4 mark from deep, while adding two rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes of action. The victory split the season series with the Pirates, while keeping St. John’s in fifth place in the conference standings and on pace for a BIG EAST Tournament First Round bye.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Natisha Hiedeman, Marquette, Jr., G
Hiedeman helped the Golden Eagles move into a tie for first place following a 2-0 weekend, averaging 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals. The junior shot .517 from the field and committed just one turnover in 61 total minutes.
Alisha Kebbe, St. John’s, So., G
Kebbe posted a game- and career-high 20 points to go along with three rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the Red Storm’s win over visiting Seton Hall on Friday.
Ashton Millender, DePaul, Jr., G
Millender led the first-place Blue Demons by averaging 19.0 points off .583 shooting, including a .571 clip from deep, in a 1-1 weekend.
Jovana Nogic, Providence, Jr., G
In a 1-1 weekend for the Friars, Nogic averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists, highlighted by a 25-point, five-rebound, three-assist outing in Sunday’s win over Xavier.
Tori Schickel, Butler, Jr., F/C
In a 1-1 weekend for the Bulldogs, Schickel averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists, including game highs of 20 points and eight rebounds at Creighton Sunday.
