Cynthia Petke sparked Georgetown to 2-0 weekend by averaging 19.5 points, 15.5 rebounds.

In a 2-0 weekend for the Hoyas, Petke averaged 19.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.0 assists. She posted back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Creighton and Providence, beginning with 18 points, 14 rebounds against the Bluejays and followed by 21 points, 17 boards against the Friars. Petke finished the regular season with a BIG EAST-leading 17 double-doubles and 20 double-digit rebounding performances.
 
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Tiana England, St. John’s, R-Fr., G
England lands her fourth top freshman honor after averaging 14.0 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and .647 shooting against BIG EAST regular season co-champions DePaul and Marquette. The rookie’s weekend was highlighted by a 21-point, four-assist showing against the Blue Demons on Friday night, draining 9-of-12 attempts from the field.
 
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Allazia Blockton, Marquette, Jr., G
Blockton clinched the BIG EAST scoring title by averaging 20.0 points over the weekend, beginning with 21 points at Seton Hall on Friday and 19 points at St. John’s on Sunday. Blockton becomes Marquette’s first BIG EAST scoring champion. The Golden Eagles also clinched a share of their first regular-season title with the wins and the BIG EAST Tournament No. 1 seed.
Jada Byrd, Xavier, Sr., G
Byrd led the Musketeers to a win in their regular-season finale over Butler with 12 points, five steals and four assists.
Mary Gedaka, Villanova, So., G
Gedaka averaged 17.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in a pair of wins to give the Wildcats the No. 3 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament. The sophomore shot .600 on the weekend in victories over Providence and Creighton.  
Nicole Jimenez, Seton Hall, Jr., G
Jimenez averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 assists and .478 shooting against the top-two teams in the BIG EAST standings, Marquette and DePaul.
Ashton Millender, DePaul, Jr., G
Millender helped DePaul clinch a share of a fifth consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title by earning a pair of wins this weekend. The junior guard averaged 15.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in victories at St. John’s and Seton Hall.
